We really enjoyed our stay at The Frenchmen Hotel. Our room was lovely, cosy and immaculately clean, with a beautiful rustic New Orleans feel that really suited the character of the building. The grounds were lovely and the pool was a real highlight, especially after a busy day exploring the city.
There were a couple of issues during our stay. The shower took around 15 minutes to heat up, which we appreciate may be understandable in an older building, but it was quite a pain when getting ready. Our air conditioning was also leaking in the room, and there was regularly a pool of water outside our door, which wasn’t ideal.
Aside from these issues, we had a lovely stay. The facilities were good, the room was comfortable and full of character, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. Overall, we’d happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, characterful place to stay in New Orleans. The location was convenient, with a nice atmosphere throughout too!
