Not here again Bad smell coming from the shower drain. We had to keep door shut & fan running constantly. Poor housekeeping service. We stayed here last year and loved it, but after this trip we won't be back. The location is great for food and music

Location location location. This is a quaint little old style New Orleans hotel right on the edge of Old Town and just a few blocks from the water. The rooms are nice. They have a very beautiful and unique pool area.

I was visiting friends that were having a party on the roof at this hotel so I can't vouch for the rooms or service here. But the rooftop views were ok, the DJ was spectacular, the food was good, & the beer was cold. The pool area is pretty small & in the center of the complex so if you have a room near the pool don't expect much sleep.

I’m there right now. Fire alarm outside in the hall has being going off for a few hours. No fire. Not that anyone came and told us. It’s 4am. Staff shrugs, says they can’t do anything about it and that it’s been going on for the past week. This is ridiculous.

First time in Nola. Wow where do I begin. Didn't get the room we asked for and Hotel clearly Wasn't Full. Pool was wonderful, hot tub needs a good cleaning. Rooms was lovely, but no wash clothes in the room. The beds are absolutely amazing! Memory Foam!Court yard was lovely as well. Staff very kind and courteous. Breakfast was light but ok. and the best of all is the parking, although it will cost you 30.00 a day there is secured off street parking, which is a must in the French quarter.

First time visit to New Orleans, wanted a quaint old hotel with ambience. We couldn't have hit a better jackpot. Great roof top bar, superb location, clean room and and a more friendly or helpful staff does not exist. It was an awesome experience.

Pluses and minuses The price and location were great. The rooms were not well maintained. Because of the first two items, I would consider returning. Because of the last item I would select a room carefully, asking a lot of questions about which room and its condition. I recommend that others do the same.

Fun in Nola We enjoyed staying at the Frenchman in, we picked the petite queen room, it was small but comfortable. The hotel is a hop, skip and a jump to all the great music that New Orleans has to offer. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Will stay here again if we ever get back to New Orleans.

Frenchman Hotel It was a good experience overall. It is right on Frenchman Street and for that reason totally worth it. I would suggest bringing earplugs because it is very loud until 5am or so. There is a simple continental breakfast with cereal, bagels, juice, and coffee. They also have complimentary cold water bottles. I was great to be able to grab a water bottle each time I left the hotel.

Coming off a cruise we had two days to enjoy New Orleans. After reading reviews we chose The Frenchman Hotel. Dripping with New Orleans charm and a location to die for we were elated to stay here. We are in our 60's and were aware of the noise and crowds on Frenchman Street but it added to the ambiance. The music on the roof was just a bonus!

Nice trip! The staff was great and the breakfast was fine. Very conveniently located. Room was small, but clean. Couldn't lock the door from the outside. The latch was out of place. Did not need the key to enter. Everyone there worked hard to see that we were enjoying our visit to New Orleans.

The hotel is quaint and nice looking as you walk through the villa. However, the room was extremely small and the bathroom was extremely compact and uncomfortable. There is a pool directly in the center and any noise from there creates an echo chamber which emanates through the whole building. It is also very noisy. My girlfriend and I checked out of here by night two.

Cosy and hotel on the eastern side of the French Quarter. Room a good size and clean with a very comfortable double bed. Close to the city streetcar terminus. Noisy with jazz music all around till midnight each night giving it a very authentic New Orleans experience and flavour. Staff all friendly. Breakfast available but sparse. Good value for money hotel.

If you're talking about going out and enjoying the street this place is great to stay up all night. Prices are okay rooms are okay. It's old. And it's loud so sleeping before 2-3 am isn't possible. Check out the rooftop bar too. Parking sucks.
