Stayed here for a wedding! This was such a great find! Very clean, easy to manage and the best part was the location! Heated bathroom floor was the perfect touch! We definitely be staying again!

Everything great except the windows are leaking and quite cold with bed right next to it.

Overall, it was a good choice. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of items if we had needed them. The little Courtyard in the center was nice especially on a warm evening that we had. I was not a fan of the bathroom door which didn't afford much privacy. I needed an extra washcloth and didn't quite know how to go about getting one since the place is not staffed but I found one in the tub of Linens sitting by the elevator. There was an Essentials cabinet that had extras of things if we needed them but washcloths were not in it. We did get locked out of our room when the code stopped working. It took about 20 minutes to resolve that situation before we could get into the room again. But I called the number they posted in case of problems and someone answered promptly and helped us. The location is very convenient since there's any number of restaurants and shops nearby. I would say the parking is the biggest problem with the location. We constantly had to be figuring out a place for our vehicle and that greatly added to the cost of the stay between paid street parking and the nearby overnight garage that was $35. Overall, it was a good experience and it was affordable.

I really liked the keyless code for entry to the building and my unit. The building was an older building with lots of character, but I felt safe and the food options were amazing!

Cute loft in the heart of Alexandria Great place for a solo or couple. The studio was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was great. I appreciated the community from the property prior to my arrival. Entrance to the unit was very easy. I will happily book here again.

I have at this Sonders before in a smaller room. This time I stayed in suite #100. It is the only room that has French doors that open onto the courtyard. I liked that a lot. One draw back is that is the only window in the room. However there were plenty of lights to keep it bright or turn them off and you are not woken up at dawn. Nice! There was a sewage smell periodically and I wasn't sure where that came from but I opened the doors and that took care of that. Also, just a note, the keypad at the front needs to be replaced. It is hard to see the numbers. Other than that, I like this place for it's location and price.

It's a pretty good stay for a reasonable price. The biggest negative is the street noise in the front units (200, 300, etc). The building is only single pane windows so not much sound insulation. They provide a sound machine and ear plugs for good reason. Quiet hours are around 11pm (foot traffic dying down)-6am (trash trucks and traffic noise) As long as you're ok with the above, and get it for a reasonable price, this is a good value.

I had no problems with this being a self service property. I felt safe at all times and the space was clean and stylish. The location and price were excellent. The public areas on the upper floors could use a little refresh (carpet and paint) and the room could have used a bath mat and a hand towel but those are my only quibbles. Would definitely stay again.

This was a great place to stay. My husband and I were in town for business/pleasure and opted to stay in Alexandria rather than DC. The Grace was a wonderful place for us. Easy to get to the Metro, far enough from DC to have peace, in Old Town with good food and coffee nearby. We stayed in a studio, which was a tad small for two, but was well appointed. Getting in and out was a breeze.

Our room had visible mold on the air conditioning unit. We walked right out the room because the conditions were unsafe. They never refunded us and stated it appeared to be “rust”.

Lovely, comfortable, central location. Likes: Hotel was right smack dab in the middle of Old Town; we were close to everything! Very European, and they thought of everything. The bed was comfortable, there were pots snd pans, dishes , glasses, mugs and silverware. You can even make pasta, because there is a colander! My friend and I walked everywhere. I would highly recommend staying here. Dislikes: I would have liked a freezer for my ice cream, but honestly-that was on me for not checking before I bought said ice cream.

I enjoyed my stay at the Old Town Alexandria Sonder. The location, on King Street, can’t be beat. It is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the water front. My room was a great size with a couch, Roku TV, kitchenette, and comfortable bedding. Being off the courtyard was an added plus. I would highly recommend this Sonder location.

This place was a true gym needle in the haystack it was decorated amazingly the location was perfect we will be staying there every chance we get when we come back to Alexandria Old town. And one surprise we found is that the bathroom floors are heated that was awesome

Excellent location with lots of great restaurants and 15 minute walk from the King St metro station. One thing, press hard on the keypad buttons when you are entering the main door outside and listen for every beep!

Weekend in Virginia. Likes: Location was great. Price good for location. Comfy bed. Liked the security. Great cleaning staff. Dislikes: A little worn looking. esp walking down halls with old, stained carpets. Gave it a little sketchy first impression. Happy with my little studio though!

Not suitable for four people - useless sofabed. Likes: Location Dislikes: This apartment is sold as for four, with a double bedroom and a sofabed in the lounge, but the three-seater sofabed is so big it blocks the access from the bedroom to the bathroom, unless a person squeezes past, against the wall, banging into the TV, and then they still cannot avoid touching the sleepers, waking them up. The apartment is a very narrow conversion (from an old corridor?) but no one at Sonder can have checked how this large sofabed actually works. We had a miserable night. A different sofabed would have made all the difference.

My first Sonder experience!! Clean, comfortable boutiquey building in Olde Town Alexandria. Lots of great restaurants and shops, and super easy to get an Uber or a Lyft. My girlfriend and I had rooms next door to each other and we both felt this option was more reliable than the Airbnbs listed in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, great for a short stay. Likes: Location is excellent. Communication and entry was very easy. Room was clean. Dislikes: Price was high for my second night. Cups and glasses were provided but no plates.

A great location, clean and comfortable room but try to avoid the rooms directly overlooking King St Likes: Perfect location in the heart of old town Alexandria. But that has a downside. It’s easy to get to everything and the King Street free trolley service makes getting around even easier Dislikes: Our room (300) faced on to King Street and the road noise was very bad. If you want to sleep beyond 7am you may have a problem as that’s when the buses and garbage collections start . The windows are timber sash single glazed in keeping with a historic property but they offer no sound insulation and the window in the bathroom doesn’t close at all. There is virtually no hanging space for clothes in the room and none for long items like women’s dresses or coats . The evenings can also be noisy, especially at weekends with the drinkers going home late and the posers cruising up and down King Street in their V8, V10 and V12 engined cars.

Great stay, loved the room (301).The one thing I would suggest is replacing the full-length mirror near the kitchenette with a drop-down table and have a couple of small/folding chairs instead of the single large chair. That would make the space more workable of couples. Otherwise, awesome stay, would do it again!

Overall this was a nice hotel. We had a studio. The bathroom felt oddly conspicuous, just frosted glass walls separating that part of the room from the rest, but otherwise it was nice. It did feel a little disconcerting being fully self-service but we knew that was the arrangement when we reserved the room so I can't really complain about that. All in all, it was a very clean, adequate space at a good price. Would stay there again.

This Sonder location has a lot of work that needs to be done. Paint was chipping off the ceiling and the window seals. There were no hand or face towels. I had to go over to the Ross to purchase so faced so I can wash my face and body. The television streaming apps did not work. And because the building is so old the smell. There really needs to be some really deep cleaning done. And probably the worst of it all is that all of the linen were in totes Along the walls in the hallway. It was just not a well kept space. The perks however, are that the community is walkable. You can get good dining options and shopping options and it’s not far From a waterway that has other dining options, as well.

Good place to stay for 1 person right on the heart of King Street in Alexandria

DO NOT BOOK ROOM 201! The location is ideal, the room has everything you need, but the rug smells like a locker room. I chatted with someone about it as soon as I arrived. I was told someone would come clean it. I was there 4 days and no one ever did. A friend stayed in 301, and it was fine. It's too bad the management spent more effort on providing a sound machine than on cleaning (or better still, replacing) the nasty rug. I was there July 2024.

DO NOT BOOK ROOM 201! The location in Old Town is ideal, the room has all the basics and would be great if the management would replace the stinky rug. It made the small space smell like a locker room. I reached out to Sonder my first night and was told someone would come clean it. No one ever did in the 4 days I was there. A friend stayed in 301, and did not have this problem.

Likes: Super Lage im schönen Alexandria. Laut, wie bereits beschrieben. Wen das nicht stört, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Dislikes: Die Küchenzeichen ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Ein kleiner Tisch und ein Stuhl im Zimmer wären schön gewesen.

Great studio room. Easy keyless access either with access code or phone tap. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of items for cooking light meals. Breakfast was easy to make each day. Bathroom was generous. Great location in Alexandria. Right off the King Street Trolly Stop or the Dash line stop. Would stay again.

Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen und dort buchen Likes: Die Lage ist fantastisch und alles ist leicht und fussläufig erreichbar. Das Appartement 100 ist für mich wie ein Zuhause gewesen, sehr modern und der Innenhof ist eine Oase. Als ich Probleme mit meinem Code hatte wurde mir umgehend geholfen.

This place is right in the heart of where you want to be in Old Town. Really nice and efficient floor plan. I would highly recommend it.

We loved our stay! We were staying in Old Town because it is our favorite location and close to the city. Being able to stay on King St made it e en better. The room was perfect, clean and everything we needed. Such an easy process. We will definitely be staying again.
