I had a pleasant stay at historic Old Town. Location is only a few minutes from Washington, DC. Furnishing is very nice and has been thought out carefully. Kitchenette has everything you need. Management team answers all requests and questions promptly on Sonder’s application. I recommend strongly a small folding table that can be hung somewhere on hooks like the iron board instead of the guests having to eat while standing or on the bed. A folding table would solve the problem of the limited space in the units. My second recommendation is to find a solution for the water pressure problem through working out a deal with the landlord that would allow for the upgrade of the plumbing system that is of the age of the building. My third recommendation is to install sound proof windows to overcome the noise of cars with loud blasting music and the noise of people partying through out the night on the street. My fourth recommendation is to install a security camera at least at the entrance to give guests a sense of security. If all four recommendations are implemented then I would give the property a five star rating.

Nice room, great location for food, anything you left behind etc. Easy location to Uber/rail into DC or airport. Iron was broken and they replaced it with a new one after one simple text. This really impressed me.

Be Prepared! I thought that I had pre-registered my details on the Sonder app. I hadn't completed it fully before my arrival, as a condequence, I never received the email with access codes to get into the building and with no reception or staff on site that was an issue! I managed to resolve this after about an hour and was pleasantly surprised by the appartment, which was spacious and clean, perfect for a couple, however it would start to feel quite cosy for 4 adults. Great location for shops restuarants and bars. Would I stay there again - yes!

OK, but could have been a lot better for the price. Likes: Bedroom exceptionally noisy because of garbage truck from 6.30 to 8 each morning. Room temperature controls did not work: temp was 65f and could not be changed. Main door code lock was almost unusable: unilluminated grey on black touch buttons that mostly didn't respond. Every entry required multiple attempts. And finally, Booking.com sent me several emails claiming the booking was "fraudulent". Contacted Sonder and they said this was a common problem. I have strongly suggested that they stop using you, not least because I have of heard many similar problems with your system.

Comfortable and quiet in an Ideal location The accommodation was perfect ! We loved having the little kitchenette. The location was ideal to explore Alexandria. My only comments would be maybe supply a few extra towels (we were there for five nights and only had two large bath towels). Otherwise, we loved it !

Nice little pied-a-terre in Old Town Alexandria. Check-in and -out process were smooth. I booked a studio and it has enough room for my big luggage. The room was sunny and facing the interior courtyard so it was quiet. The kitchenette was equipped with everything I needed including dish soap, hand soap, etc. The bathroom was big. The bed was nice and comfortable. I asked for a chair and table as I would be working during my stay and they were there when I arrived. The location is perfect with bus/trolley stop a minute away. I would love a laundry facility in the building to make the place more convenient for longer stays. I ended up doing laundry at a friend’s place.

Wonderful Likes: Great accommodations and location

Perfect home in the heart of town Likes: Great location in downtown old town Alexandria; easy walking and public transport, and plenty of diverse food options and local attractions close by. The apartment (room 205) was comfortable, clean, safe and fine - though facilities were available we did not do any cooking; but enjoyed the good coffee and tea. We enjoyed being able to open the windows (somewhat) and the very comfortable bed.

We just used the fridge but there is cookware and glass cups. It is a homey kind of feel. We used the dishes and used the sink for daily washing. This apartment is right in the middle of a busy street. So it is pretty lively until after midnight. Just know that going in. I loved it, some may not. OK Sonder the booking experience. I have read reddit reviews. This is a model where there is no front desk. So, it is very critical that you read the check in e-mail very carefully. Do your check in as soon as you book your room. I cannot stress this enough. check in requires uploads and verifications. Once complete you will get a conformation e-mail. Two days prior to our visit we received our door codes. For us everything went very smoothly. Love the location, super fun town center. Very easy to the National Mall - 15 minutes MAX. We did 4 museums in 3 days and still had time to got out in the evening on King street. Murphy Irish pub is basically right next door. Super fun with live music great Irish pub fare and super convienent. I parked at 418 Cameron St - Tavern Sq. Overnight parking - $11 during the week, $5 on the weekend.

Excellent location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Felt safe. Quiet, comfortable room. Very clean Likes: Clean, safe. Excellent location!

Great location, short walk to the yellow metro line and lots of coffee options within a 5mns walk. Room and building were on the smaller side but to be expected for the area and age of the building.

This properly is in a great location. It is clean and spacious and it has a nice kitchen. There are lots of dining and shopping options nearby. There is a free trolley that runs up and down King Street. We woul definitely stay here again.

We went during spring break. We had not stayed at a property like this before but we were pleasantly surprised. Check in was seamless. You could tell people were about but the halls and rooms were quiet. A white noise machine and earbuds were provided since it is in a busy area -- we didn't need them) When you step outside, King street is at your feet with loads of options. Kitchenette was great for snacks and light breakfast (we mostly made use of the mini fridge and glassware) Great location and value. Would book again.

Since I got sick, I was very bummed I had to go home bc I think my stay would have been awesome Likes: I was only able to stay 1 of 4 nights bc I got sick and went home. I loved the hotel. Great location. Dislikes: Parking was an absolute nightmare. I also would have like to been able just to watch regular TV because I don't have a Netflix account. So I didn't like that.

Very nice location, clean room and with all the amenities. Happy of my stay. Dislikes: Noise from trucks driving by the street early morning. That is why ear plugs are provided.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Location was fabulous and I loved being able to check in and out remotely and independently. There were areas that seemed simple to make better in the room - for example, nowhere to put my toiletries in the shower, no toilet seat cover, very limited space to hang anything, I had to dig under the bed to find a way to plug in my phone, the area rug was all sideways and crooked which felt unkempt. The room and building were very old which I guess is to be expected in this area. Room felt pretty dark. There is a full kitchenette yet nowhere to sit - I could bake a cake but would need to sit on the bed to eat it! It was quite noisy between the airplanes flying low overhead, the other guest rooms water pipes, and the in room rattly hvac but they did leave earplugs which was thoughtful. All in all it got the job done but I think I expected something a little brighter and fresher.

Likes: Perfect location in nice neighbourhood Dislikes: My room was on ground floor, looking at courtyard. The door to was opening to the courtyard. Door was a glass garden door with a lock on it. Couldn’t open the curtains of the door and the door didn’t feel safe. There was a huge exit sign right in front of the door with a red light that would get into you eye trying to sleep right accross. There were machinery sounds at night waking you up.

Super comfy and perfect location! Likes: Super comfortable, well located, clean and super responsive staff Dislikes: We had an issue with the door not closing the first night, but the staff was super responsive through the app (even though it was late) and sent someone first thing the next day to fix it.

Good property

Great efficiency apartment with refrigerator, cooking convection stove. Very easy check-in. Only problem is water not flushing well in the toilet. Otherwise excellent property.

A disappointing alternative to a hotel, but for more money Likes: A very cozy and clean apartment with very updated amenities. The location is top notch. I've visited Alexandria many times and was strategically looking for a location in the heart of Old Town, and this was it. I liked the layout- unlike some AirBnBs and private urban rentals where the front door is hard to find and hidden, it has a clear sign and inviting lobby and courtyard. Dislikes: Toilet was broken from the moment we checked in and it was not fixed for over 24 hours. Poor customer service through the whole period. They didn't even tidy the bathroom or bring fresh towels, and they left the toilet tank lid on the sink for us to put back. We'll just pay a comparable rate to stay in the Hampton or Hyatt a few blocks down King Street next time. No Sonder for us in future.

Comfort and Class Beautiful room. Had everything I needed. Very relaxing and the bed was so comfy. The building is beautifully kept and everything was spotless. Wish the weather had been better so I could have used the outside area which looked very cool. If ever I come back to Alexandria I will definitely stay again.

King Street heart of Old Town Great location, really enjoyed my stay! The location was in the heart of old town Alexandria on King street. Less than a block to many great restaurants. Room was right on king street, so traffic noise was a bit loud especially with how the drivers love using their horns.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! Plz stay away from the place by all means possible I was excited to book this property, However, it was a huge letdown. The photos are different than the actual room it is so unfair, I paid AUD 2200 for this hotel that's lacking basic stuff like a fridge, closets, and a washing machine g machine. Like, what? and I have a child with me I reached out to them, but they are telling me they can't refund my money when their website says if it is within 24 hrs of booking they will refund you now they are telling me otherwise

I wanted to give this stay a better review but the toilet issue tarnished my experience. I support low flow toilets but the toilet in this studio was incredibly difficult and annoying to use. Otherwise the studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A bit small if you have large luggage.

Spacious, clean, quiet, great location. Easy access with Sonder app. Great amenities. Will definitely continue to use Sonder when we travel.

I was excited to book this property due to the convenient location and the fact that it was more affordable than some of the other boutique hotels in the area. However, it was a huge letdown. The photos are way nicer than the actual room - our studio room was poorly laid out, had cheap, flimsy fixtures, and zero soundproofing. Notably, the sliding door to the bathroom is falling off its hinge & doesn’t close properly, there is no toilet seat cover, the bathroom fan didn’t work, and there is zero closet space. There was very little attention to detail with how the room was set up, including the cleaning supplies out in the open, stained dishrags, and a plug covered up by the headboard. I wish we had spent the extra money to stay elsewhere to avoid this dump!!
