Reviews of The King Street House by KasaReviews of The King Street House by Kasa

It was an incredible place to call my temporary home for a month. And I think the kind and flexible host who were able to help me out.

Great stay

Great place great location

Plan your parking ahead of time. The Alexandrian Hotel a few blocks away has parking. Great room, super convenient location to all Old Town shops & restaurants

This was an appalling experience, and I would not stay with Kasa again. The toilet malfunctioned throughout my stay, making recurring noise day and night and preventing me from sleeping properly. I reported it promptly, but after 3 nights of disrupted sleep, it was still not fixed, and I was repeatedly told there was no timeline for maintenance. The situation became extremely stressful and I decided I could no longer stay. Kasa is largely remotely managed, and the experience felt extremely impersonal. When I decided to leave, I asked only for a refund of my unused nights. Kasa refused, leaving me to either stay somewhere I could not sleep or lose 50% of every remaining night. I escalated the matter with Airbnb, and after a thorough review of my communications with Kasa and the documented issues, Airbnb refunded 100% of my remaining nights plus 30% of the affected nights. Things break. The real problem was how Kasa handled it.

The location was pretty great- right downtown. I did not love the parking situation. I had to pay for street parking every two hours until 9 pm which was a pain.

Great location!

Got way more than I expected really great quality very nice bathroom very nice Studio set and an actual big size TV

Not as advertised.

I love it

Great

Was nice and clean but bit tough to check-in

Great Location Great central location on King Street. Close proximity to many restaurants and businesses. Made my grandfathers funeral much easier to access.

Great location! Clean!

Great location. Stayed three weeks in a row waiting to move for the military. Would stay again. Exceeded expectations

Kasa was great thanks!

The location was great, the instructions were easy to follow, the space was clean and quiet, and parking wasn’t a problem for us (we found street parking). However, the room was much smaller than we anticipated and didn’t look like any of the photos in the listing. I imagine this may be because the unit we were assigned wasn’t the same units that were photographed. The bed was right up against the glass bathroom barn door, and because there was no closet or other storage space in the room, the ironing board, step stool, broom, and other cleaning items were left visible in the living space. It was perfectly fine for one night, especially given the convenient location, but based on the size and setup of the room, I personally wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

Top marks on all counts

An absolute gem! I was in town for a consulting project and booked my stay based purely off of proximity to the office. I was delighted by the location - right on the main strip of Old Town with plenty of restaurants and shops. Plus, it’s about a 10 minute walk to the waterfront. The property management sent clear arrival instructions and was communicative as needed. The property itself was clean and cozy and the heated floor in the bathroom was the perfect added touch. It’s like the perfect mix of a proper hotel and AirBnB. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, short term stay, this place is a must. I will certainly book here again.

This was in a perfect location for us. We were close to family and friends. Room was quaint and comfortable. Nighttime activity was a little loud at night, but we would come here again without hesitation.

No comments… see it for yourself.

Great!

Alexandria and location were good, no staff, no help. Good luck. Likes: Location. Bathroom. Bed. All good Dislikes: No staff. Poor customer service.allocated room was unprepared and dirty. Several hours of our holiday spent trying to sort out Kasa’s own F.U. This is a virtual operation from California, nobody there to help.

There were trash bags in the hallways. Room bigger than I thought. Toilets barely flush. Little stinky downstairs. The MAJOR issue is the bedroom facing king street. Noises of construction street sweepers trucks anything u can think of kept me up all night. Very very loud. Also people in other rooms slamming doors all hours of the night. Could have been cute but what’s the point in paying for a place u can’t even sleep in?

Great location for enjoying Old Town of Alexandria. We got a great bang for our buck!

I had my last place cancel last minute and Kasa was a good 2nd choice in the situation. Good place to stay in Old Town.

This location was perfect for our visit. Would stay there again. Likes: Great location. The property is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and places of interest. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Dislikes: The dishwasher did not work. The toilet kept running. We notified the staff, who offered to send someone out to fix the problem.

The amenities listed that there was oil, salt, and pepper in the kitchen; however there was none. The WiFi worked for a day or two and then did not work afterwards. When I arrived there was hair in the shower, kitchen sink, and on the bed. Overall the place was great, the location was money, even being in the heart of old town Alexandria it was quiet. Perfect for a few days!

Our stay was convenient and peaceful. The location was right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria with access to local restaurants and food just steps away. Check in was very easy and simple. Our only issue was with the A/C in unit there was a bit of dust buildup that flared up my allergies so had to be sparing while using it but other than that the stay was great.

Clean and cozy. Just what I needed for a quick overnighter in Old Town! An AMAZING location. Right on King street near EVERYTHING! Will definitely stay there again.

Great place. Will definitely stay there again.

I stayed here in 2024 and it was fine, for a low cost ($100/n) this is fine, but for anything above $150, they need to rid the place of smells, they need to clean the dirt off the bathroom floor (not just the grout) and they have no reason to charge high prices even during tourist season. I was approached several times by drunk couples and other people outside of the front door and I felt unsafe walking up to the code where people could see I was staying there. The trash can lid was flipped upside down a couple of times when I returned to the unit telling me a rodent had to be near by and was going after the trash. The room was damp from poor ventilation and the smell of Indian food and mold is prevalent. I don’t remember this being the case 2 years ago when I stayed. When I confronted them, they jacked up the rate and then confirmed my checkout and gave me a review as a guest before I had even checked out. Super sketchy. When I asked why they played dumb. kasa is a dump

Misleading Listing and Disappointing Stay -1 Star Likes: Location was good thats why I choose this place. But will never stay here again. Room layout was completely different, and I won't call this a room. It's like a jail with all-in-one small area. Dislikes: I was completely dissatisfied with my stay at Kasa. The property did not meet my expectations, and several issues made the experience very disappointing. I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others. I expected much better service and accommodations for the price. The listing picture and the apt was completed different. Dont get fooled by KASA. Non refundable credit card payment so you are in a trap. I call this as a jail with all bathroom, bedroom, kitchen within one square. Never book with KASA. I am completely dissatisfied with my stay at Kasa. The room did not match the photos advertised, which was very misleading. The layout was different from what I expected when I made the reservation. The cleanliness of the room was below acceptable standards, making the stay uncomfortable from the start. In addition, there was no working Wi-Fi, which was a major inconvenience, especially for anyone traveling for business or needing reliable internet access. Another disappointment was the lack of a work desk, even though the listing gave the impression that the room would be suitable for working. This made it difficult to use the space as intended. Overall, the room did not meet the expectations set by the listing. Between the cleanliness issues, the missing Wi-Fi, the absence of a work desk, and the inaccurate room layout, I cannot recommend staying here and would not book with Kasa again.

This was probably one of the best AirBnb I’ve ever stayed at literally a home away from home neat, clean and very relaxing literally the only issue is the WiFi didn’t work for 3 days but then my last 2 days here it worked perfectly so 10/10 I’m grateful the let me stay

Our experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we checked in, there was almost no water pressure in either the shower or the bathroom sink. It was impossible to take a proper shower or even wash my hair. We reported the issue immediately on Thursday, but no one came to inspect it until Saturday afternoon. As a result, we spent almost our entire stay without being able to properly use the bathroom facilities. The apartment was also far from clean. The air conditioning vent was covered in dust, there was mold around the bathroom soap dispenser, and there was visible dirt and hair along the bathroom floor. These are simply not the standards anyone should expect, especially considering the price we paid. While the location was convenient, it does not make up for the poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, and inadequate customer service. I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend this property unless these issues are properly addressed.

Poor Cleanliness and No Water Pressure Likes: Nothing. Dislikes: Our experience was extremely disappointing. Very Disappointing Stay I would not recommend this property based on my experience. The listing advertised internet access, but there was no working Wi-Fi during my stay. The room I received also did not match the photos or description in the listing. In addition, there was a strong smell of marijuana (weed) throughout the room, making the stay very uncomfortable. I reported these issues immediately after checking in and requested a resolution. Instead of addressing the problems, I was told that because the property has a no-refund policy, no refund would be provided. A no-refund policy should not be used to avoid responsibility when the accommodation is not as advertised. Guests should receive the room and amenities that were promised when they made the reservation. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations, and I was left with no satisfactory solution. I hope future guests are aware of these issues before booking.

Likes: Posizione Dislikes: Pulizia

The property was not clean and the shower was not working. Likes: I didn’t like anything. Dislikes: The property was not clean and the shower was not working.

This is a spot that we will definitely be returning to. My wife and I have been staying in Old Town at least 3 times a year for some time now, so we know the area quite well. This location is right where we like to be and was great value for the money. Since we found a garage to park long-term that was close by, the stress was reduced and we were able to just enjoy our stay.

Tried to call to get clarification about the location, parking, amenities, etc. After being on hold for over 10 minutes, I reached someone from a gemeric call center, whom I could barely understand, and didn't know anything about the property or location. This lack of customer service forced me to move on and find a hotel who focuses more on the consumer.

Overall great stay, just a minor hiccup with flooring. Its a prime location and suitable for any reason for stay.

Great location and had everything I needed for day-to-day living. The only thing I’d suggest adding is a countertop oven, but overall it was a great stay.
