Loved the room! I enjoyed the nice scent of the natural shampoo and soap products. A nice cozy bed after walking around all day is what a body needs. The beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping made sure our room stayed clean and fresh. will choose this place again! Trolley stops right in front of door. can't beat the walkable outside private balcony's

The hotel is centrally located if you are looking to walk between the French Quarter and the SuperDome. We had a great experience with the virtual and front desk staff!

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay with Lafayette Hotel Likes: Coziness of room. Good view from our window. Fridge. Room cleaned twice during our week stay Complimentary water in room. Soap and lotions nice. Train pickup right outside hotel. Dislikes: Shower water would not drain. Ankle deep by time could finish shower. Reported twice but resolved during our stay.

Highly recommend this place Perfect location between the French Quarter and the Garden District. Being on St. Charles the trolley runs right outside and stops in front of the hotel. We did not find the trolley noise to be disturbing from our room. We did not eat at the steakhouse on the first floor but it smelled delicious and looked very upscale. Beautiful historic building. Beautiful furnishings. Our first room was tight. Meaning close quarters but seemed manageable. We were not there very long before we discovered a problem with the locks. There was no way to reach the front desk so I called the Kasa customer service number in my email confirmation. She was able to reach the front desk and remedy the situation fairly quickly. The front desk attendant ended up moving us to another room which was much more spacious. We were very pleased with the aesthetics. The room was very clean. We were also very pleased with the comfort of the bed. 5 nights on a great mattress was a very pleasant surprise. I would recommend the mezzanine level women's bathroom could have used a thorough cleaning and maybe some update. Not quite to the level of the rooms. Our valet was great, however, the time it took to retrieve our vehicle varied which made timing reservations a bit tricky. For a first trip in New Orleans it was a great stay and we highly recommend it. .

I have really been enjoying my king balcony room. As an older couple me and my husband have got to have a comfortable bed when we travel and walk a lot. I love the bed in my room! It is soooo comfortable. The balcony is more like an outdoor walkway. Room service replaced my towels and maid the bed while we were out. It’s clean, very comfortable and the St Charles trolley stop is right in front of the building!!! I will try to book this spot again when I come for sure!

Overall our stay here was very good. Whatever shortcomings we experienced the customer service and friendliness of the staff overcame it. When we arrived our room seemed extra small and why are we determined it was a queen size bed? It was the smallest queen size bed we had ever seen. Both of us were uncomfortable and woke up sore. I'm not sure why we waited so long but after several days we spoke with the front desk. Bianca began the process of finding us a new room and Jen completed the process after their shift changed. Our new room had a better layout, larger queen size bed and a great view of St. Charles Street. Anytime we ever needed anything, the staff were friendly and eager to make sure we had a positive experience. Even after we checked out and had our luggage and storage, the staff were very accommodating to us. For a mere $3 you can catch the cable car with unlimited rides for the day and see New Orleans in a very beautiful way. Would highly recommend this classic historic stay at a reasonable price with exceptional service.

Super comfortable, beautiful old hotel with Superior staff and friendly service. If we come to New Orleans again, we will definitely stay here.

Great location and staff Location was fabulous. We could walk everywhere or hop the street car! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Check in and check out are a breeze!! Hotel is clean and bed is very comfortable!!! We will be back!!!!

The hotel offered a historic feel. Easy to get to. Staff were fantastic! Can’t say enough good things about Jen and crew for assisting us. Walking distance to the French Quarter and easy street car ride to the Garden District.

Amazing Staff and Stress Free Stay Our stay at The Lafayette in New Orleans was fantastic, largely because of how accommodating and responsive the staff were. We had complicated flight schedules, arrived earlier than expected, and had a few timing-related requests throughout the stay, and every single one was handled smoothly and kindly. The team went out of their way to help us with early arrival options, communication around our room readiness, and general support during our stay. Any time we reached out, responses were quick, clear, and genuinely helpful. It never felt transactional, it felt like the staff actually cared about making our trip easy and comfortable. Travel days can be stressful, but staff made everything feel seamless. If you value flexibility, communication, and attentive service, this is absolutely a place I’d recommend, and would happily stay at again.

Nice Hotel close to everything. Rooms are very affordable. Staff is very accommodating. We had an issue with the lock on or Room and Stephon was very proactive to remedy the situation. Valet service is great with Isiah holding it down!

Parking is not free. Very expensive. VRBO app advertised Parking yet did not specify rates. Otherwise nice room.

Great stay and location! Close to many attractions and felt safe. Would love to have had better lighting and a microwave Likes: Great location, walking distance to many things, grocery store nearby, free water, very clean, easy to check in and navigate. Dislikes: The room is very dark specially at night as it does not have a ceiling light. The bulbs on the floor lamp and desk lamp are very dim. The room also did not have a microwave so I was not able to heat up any left overs.

I enjoyed the stay at this establishment. It was quiet, cute, and was a great location to access local attractions, however I would not use the valet next time. For 2 days it cost $100. It took minimum 45 min to get the car each time we wanted to leave, but when we arrived they told us we would be waiting max 15-20. On the last day, they tried telling me I needed to pay for another day to access my car, and I had to tell them that I had already paid, so watch your receipts and pay attention to what you are paying for. There is paid street parking close by which is preferable because you can access your vehicle anytime you want without the wait for significantly less cost and hassle. The staff was very sweet and it was not their fault, it is just not organized well. If you plan to just leave your car and walk everywhere it is a nice option but for people like us who are always on the go, it truly slowed us down quite a bit.

It's actually essentially typical hotel experience, but was quite nice.

Cozy stay in New Orleans city centre Likes: The hotel staff were friendly and attentive to customer needs. I was able to access the room earlier than the official check-in time and was also given a room upgrade. The room was spacious & clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located in a very central area, within walking distance of the French Quarter (approximately 15 minutes). Dislikes: The room lighting arrangement is a bit dim. The only major issue was that the room was located at the back of the hotel, with the window positioned directly above the exhaust pipes / air-conditioning units. As a result, there was some background noise throughout the day and night. This may be inconvenient for guests who are light sleepers.

Smooth and easy to navigate from start to finish! Easy walk to the Superdome, while still getting to stay in a place with some historical character

Big room, great location, beautiful building. There is not daily cleaning service which is good to be aware of but personally did not bother us. And the bathroom towels were comically small! But otherwise a great stay and I would stay here again.

In general quite good hotel and good price/quality ratio. Likes: Very nice hotel with very good location. Helpful personal. Good 24/7 support by phone. Dislikes: Very bad shampoo and hair conditioner. Better to have your own. In the evening water is quite cold. Plus heating system doesn’t work well, can be cold in nights in December. And there are very limited amount of blankets (not warm unfortunately).

I would recommend The Lafayette. The staff was wonderful. Good location. Nice room, but it did have that old smell. I think it was just the building. We bought a candle and it really helped. We had other people in our party and the smell did not seem to bother them.We did hear the street car and other noise from outside. A sound machine was provided which helped. It might be a problem for a light sleeper. I read one review that said they didn’t have hairdryers, we had one. They also provide drinking water and there is a in the lobby. The one complaint was the treatment of the valet assistants. They were made to stay outside with no heat when the temperatures were in the 40s.

Room very nice, but needed more lights, especially a desk lamp.

Staff simpático e solícito, sempre dispostos. Dislikes: Quarto um pouco pequeno, pagar por late check out (44 dólares).
