**Update: $122 refunded was absolutely not the price for 1 night during our stay. If the price was actually that low, then maybe it would have matched the value.
While the location is good (close walk to the French Quarter) and the front desk staff were very kind, there’s not much else that this hotel offers for the price. It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. We were not informed that both the restaurant and the bar were closed. That information should be made public at booking, especially with a hotel like this one that doesn’t have the usual 4 star amenities like a pool or gym. The bathroom was way outdated with stains on the tile, an old faucet, and a tattered bath mat. The carpet also needed to be steamed, the air conditioning was quite loud, and there was no closet. Also something very basic is a working tv and we didn’t even have that.
We stayed here for 5 nights in the deluxe 2 queen bedroom and were promised a 1 night refund for lack of basic amenities by the general manager Bobby, but they did not honor that. For the price, I’d say skip the “historic boutique hotels” for an actual 4 star hotel.
