My Husband and I stayed from Thursday May 25th and Left May 29th. This place is nothing like the pictures . The water was barely warm. The curtains in our room were torn. The HOUSEKEEPER WENT IN MY PURSE AND STOLE MY DIAMONDS EARRINGS WHILE WE WERE OUT EATING. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE .Management is giving us a hard time . You have thieves in the building. PEOPLE BEWARE THIS PLACE IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK . Very Disappointed.NEVER EVER AGAIN. IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME .ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE VIOLATED.

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is really cool looking. Too many homeless people roaming around the entrance. As soon as I parked on the street, I was approached by a homeless man asking me for money. I did not feel safe. This isn't necessarily on the hotel, but something some may consider when booking.

Great stay but the cost of parking was more expensive than valet parking at other hotels. Likes: the quietness and the doorman Kevin was exceptional! Dislikes: the pricy parking fees was ridiculous.

Buena ubicacion pero falta mantenimiento Likes: La ubicacion del hotel es muy buena. Esta cerca de los puntos turisticos. Dislikes: El baño le falta mantenimiento. Las paredes de la ducha tenian un poco de sarro. La ducha quedaba gotiando y te colocan una alfombra para la ducha que ya esta amarilla de tanto uso, y la tapa de la poceta tienes manchas ya viejas. La cama tenia solo sabanas muy finitas y no tenia ningun tipo de cobertor para protegerse del frio y las almohadas ya estaban muy viejas.

Likes: La chambre était très grande avec un salon séparé et 2 télévisions, tout était très propre et spacieux. Dislikes: Le personnel à la réception n'était pas très acceuillant

Parking If your going to have a hotel you should have parking for your guests had to park two blocks away in paid parking

歴史ある街の歴史あるホテルで良い滞在ができた。 Likes: 歴史あるホテルで外観も客室内も重厚で素晴らしかった。 少し距離は有るがバーボンストリートやフレンチマーケットへも十分歩ける距離だった。 Dislikes: 歴史あるホテルなので仕方がないことだが、廊下や隣室の物音が良く聞こえる。 駐車場料金が非常に高い。

Has a great location, staff is friendly and makes you feel at home.

Likes: The hotel is clean and comfortable. Dislikes: The cost of self parking is high. I noted the parking at hotels nearer to Canal were $25 per night

Lovely room and good service. Likes: Very spacious and clean room. Good location close to amenities but far enough away to not be too noisy. Big thanks to Kevin on the door, very helpful. Dislikes: Parking very tight, my hire car picked up a couple of dents and scratches whilst parked overnight.

Likes: property is located very close to the historic Lafayette square. it’s a small and cozy boutique hotel. the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stroll around the area and check out the restaurants. Dislikes: 1) although the hotel is not obligated to provide any water bottle at least there should be some option other than buying a five dollar water bottle form your front desk.

Likes: Paul, the guy at the front desk during the day, was helpful throughout, and provided interesting historical details about the hotel. The location is ideal; good restaurants are nearby. The room was quiet, comfortable, and air-conditioned, had a bit of New Orleans flavor to it, and featured a formal desk that proved a convenient place to get some work done. Dislikes: There was no coffee for the coffee maker; the WiFy password did not appear to be conveniently posted anywhere; the desk clerk did not answer the phone in the evening.

My wife and I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return. Likes: Nice, clean hotel that is well-maintained and still holds its historical charm. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is great for a starting point to explore New Orleans while being far enough away from loud, late-night bars/clubs. Several nice restaurants are within close walking distance from the hotel and the steakhouse located inside the hotel is exceptional. Also, you can’t beat the streetcar stop directly across from the hotel. Dislikes: Nothing to really complain about.

A gem in the heart of New Orleans This was a one night stay to look at a vehicle we had seen on-line (we live 6 hours away). We did not arrive till almost 11:00pm so we were tired. The front desk attendant was fantastic during the check-in and in helping us to find parking- we could not have imagined any better service. The concierge was also very polite and helpful. The room was much nicer than our expectations- large room very well decorated and a large bathroom down a short hallway from the main room. It also had 3 large windows with one overlooking a city block sized square with trees and statues. The hotel was build in 1916 but is very well maintained and the rustic old world style was very appealing. We would have really enjoyed to stay longer at this hotel if our plans would have allowed it. And all this for a very reasonable rate for a downtown New Orleans hotel.

excellent location, fairly priced, clean and friendly. Likes: very nicely located in the cbd. gives you quick access to the super dome and the french quarter. both are only a few minutes walk away. Dislikes: they have a parking area, but it is very small and super tight. not a gripe so much as an observation.

Historisches Hotel in guter Lager Likes: Die Lage war gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Im Hotel fühlte man sich in eine andere Zeit versetzt. Streetcar Haltestelle vor der Tür. Dislikes: Zimmer war sehr dunkel und es hätte sauberer sein können. Es fehlte ein Bereich wo man sich zusammen hinsetzen kann (keine Terrasse, kein Aufenthaltsraum). Es war sehr laut, da direkt an der Haltestelle und Fenster undicht und nicht gedämmt.

Likes: Near every thing and transit was on the same street. Dislikes: Constantly changing person at front desk and having to explain everything over again regarding getting a partial refund. Also on line it made it sound if we didn't upgrade we would get a room with out a private bathroom. Also book a room with two queens and a sofa bed upon arrival was told they don't have rooms like that.

Quiet, intimate home away from home for exploring New Orleans Likes: Terrific small hotel on the St. Charles streetcar line. Comfortable spacious corner suite overlooking Lafayette Square. Very quiet; easy walk to French Quarter and several excellent restaurants nearby. Dislikes: Bathroom could use updating, but entirely adequate.

This is the ideal hotel for a trip to NOLA, with the street car running right in front of the entrance, walking distance Likes: So very clean with a great staff. We had a rain delay and the front desk staff were quick to suggest alternative plans. We will be back. Dislikes: Nothing!

Ammeter Likes: Location was great Dislikes: The outside was grand and lovely, but inside was basic. No restaurant, not even breakfast offered. The rooms were dark and basic. Not even hooks in the bathroom for towels. It felt like the people who own the hotel have never run a hotel before. The staff were sweet and polite, but half the time it was the porter looking after the front desk not the actual receptionist.

Likes: It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Dislikes: The doors were very loud when they closed and we could hear them banging closed at 7:30 am. My husband didn’t find the pillows comfortable.

Terrible experience . This hotel is a scam. Do not book. I would like to warn everyone about my negative experience with this hotel. My booking was for one night before departing on a cruise the next day. Unfortunately, we had issues with our flight to NOLA and had to drive 8.5 hours from GA instead. Upon realizing this, we called the hotel to explain the situation and were informed by the front desk person that we would receive a full refund due to the emergency. We were given a cancellation number and believed we had successfully cancelled our reservation. However later on we discovered that we had been charged the full amount of $419.32, and the hotel denied ever offering us a refund. This is unacceptable and amounts to fraudulent behavior. Not only did we have to pay for this hotel, but we also had to find and pay for another hotel to stay in for the night. If the hotel had informed us that they would not give us a refund, although difficult, we would have made a different decision and driven all the way to NOLA even though we would get there very late that night, instead of staying somewhere else overnight. I urge everyone to avoid booking with this hotel to avoid similar issues. They are scam.

Likes: Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel was located close to restaurants and not far from Jackson Square.
