Spacious, convenient, a break from the norm. It was definitely a different experience staying here vs. your traditional hotel. I was a little skeptical at first with no "front desk" but the directions texted to you are pretty self-explanatory. The rooms were huge and beautifully decorated. There are plenty of towels for your stay. If you choose to cook, just pack some cooking spray and salt/pepper but otherwise everything is provided. Updated kitchen with plates, pots/pans, dishwasher.... This place felt like you were living local. On property there is a gym, pool, and business center you have access to use. You are within walking distance to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, running trails, and major attractions. Highly recommend and will definitely book in the future.

Fantastic apartment, great location within walking distance to many local attractions....6th street, bat bridge etc. Would definitely recommend. Instructions could have been better on how to locate the apartment and where to park but once that was sorted we were all good to go.

Excellent- a welcoming first impression of Austin! Such a nice stay all the way around. Stayed a few days before conference - Really wish I found this first because I would have stayed here all week instead! Love the no people texting approach. It made me feel like I was the only customer with dedicated service and nice to just walk into room and sit down after long day of travel!

Stop over in Austin After having a little difficulty finding the property we were surprised at how spacious and clean our apartment was. It was a gorgeous warehouse style apartment in a great location. Extremely secure and safe area. Easy to get around the city.

Home-like stay, great location The room was very clean. Showerheads are high. Bed was super comfy. It is a different kind of stay because there is no lobby and you are sharing the building with permanent residence but the checkin/out was easy, the response to questions was fast and helpful, plus there is no waiting in line, ever! You simply can't beat the location and we felt more like part of the neighborhood than tourists. We'll be back.

Location is well situated downtown Service personnel will excellent. Had a problem on check in and Michael was extremely conscientious in addressing and resolving the issue. The organization bent over backwards to make sure we were satisfied.

Beautiful apartment, great location! Guild City Center apartments are absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the city and convenient access to everything downtown. The staff is very friendly and professional. I wish every city had Guild apartments available (DFW would be a great location for this hint hint ;-) ). If we visit Austin in the future, we will definitely be looking into these apartments again.

Great location, great staff The staff and owner bend over backwards to make sure your stay is superb. I would highly recommend them. The facility is located right in the middle of downtown. Everything is within walking distance, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shopping. Our apartment was on the top floor overlooking the lake. The views were beautiful.We were even able to see the bats emerge from the Congress Street Bridge. We loved the king bed. It was super comfy. Loved the full sized fridge and the washer/dryer. The only complaint I had was addressed immediately by the manager and even the owner called to make sure we were happy. Stay here. You won't regret it.

Comfortable and a great location Everything was great except we were supposed to get a room with a view of the lake/river and didn't. And on the last day of our stay the fob stopped working for the elevator. No fun climbing 16 flights of stairs.

Awesome Uptown Stay! Only reason I rated "Service" average was because this property is not manned... it is a rental property in an apartment type building. Great place, great location, great responsiveness when needing assistance (through email and text). HIGHLY RECOMMEND Guild City Center Austin!!!!

Almost Perfect (but not quite) If you are looking for more of a "vacation rental" type accommodation, and do not need/desire all of the amenities of a traditional / full service hotel, then this is a great option. Our "room" had not been fully serviced upon our arrival, and without the "full service" hotel atmosphere, there was no way to know this until we walked in to the unit to find it a mess. Our communication to the Guild was responded to promptly, they sent someone right over to complete the cleaning, and they even comped us a drink at an establishment down the street while we waited. Thus, they could not have handled the situation any better.....none the less, it's a disappointment to be noted, and I think The Guild would readily admit that it should not have happened in the first place. The unit itself was great once it was ready for our arrival. The location was fantastic, and it's nice to have a bit of room (+- 900sf in my estimation) to spread out with an open kitchen/living area and separate bedroom and bathroom. I would stay here again.

guild city center AMLI has aesthetically pleasing properties. This one was no different. The unit was a spacious one bedroom with two separate balconies. There was a pool on the second floor, which we utilized multiple times. There is a security guard that hovers around the pool area, but having a few drinks there seems OK if you aren't disturbing anyone (i.e. being loud). The area around the property is OK. There are a couple nice shops on street-level, including a Starbucks across the street, but it's a pretty bland area, in general. Luckily, you can walk or take a short Uber to many bars on Sixth, Rainey, etc.

Great Find in Downtown Austin Spacious, clean, outstanding responses when I had a question -- all done either email or texting, interesting business model -- Had washer/dryer in full apartment unit, balcony, close to run/walk trails, great location downtown, good breakfast next door, price was competitive to the better hotels in area.

Located in excellent area down town Checking in was confusing, but it was probably due to Expedia not having my latest contact information. Instructions were sent to my old home phone. There was no identification of the location and no one had any idea what I was looking for. Then by luck one of the staff members just happen to noticed I was lost. She explained the process, upgraded my room and gave us free parking due to the mix up. From that point every thing changed to the better and we had an excellent experience. The room and location were excellent and we had a beautiful view from our room. Everything in the room was new and the retro decor was super.

Good Location We were looking for a hotel near the Congress Ave Bridge. The accommodations were nice, but we had trouble with the check in as we did not have an iPhone, laptop or other electronic device with we and we had to send a copy of a drivers license before we could get a pass code for the elevator.

Nice and convenient. The room was great, other than the floors need to be cleaned much better. They do appear clean, but if you walk around with out shoes, you see that they are not. The amenities wher great, plenty of space, and convenient to the down town area. I will definently book a room there again.

New hotel concept impresses Great service - really fun to text with the rep(s). Stay went without a hitch. Entry instructions were super thorough, including photos. Apartment was spacious and clean. Washer and dryer were a godsend, plus there was detergent there for us to use! Also loved all the free sample goodies left for us to keep as souvenirs! I had the convertible couch as my bed, which was a bit stiff. That's the only "complaint." Oh and the room also came with a turntable and record collection. Lastly, the location couldn't possibly be more central. Thumbs up!

Perfect Place, Awesome People My stay was AMAZING. The complex I stayed in was nice and clean, it was quiet compared to the busier parts of Downtown Austin. I practically had my own little apartment to myself. Amazing views of the city. Pool and fitness center area were a great perk and very relaxing. There was also a nice work area in the downstairs lounge. I had a very comfortable stay and plenty of space to myself. It was also very convenient for my work trip - I could see my office from my room! Communication with The Guild was awesome. Even though there were some issues with receiving check-in/registration information initially, they were very gracious and helpful in figuring it out with me. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back in town!

Worst check-in UX ever! They want to be innovative over the screening process, writing some funny things, but they totally missed the goal. Looks like a cryptographic design, asking your for pictures of your id, back of your id, then you have to pose with your id, then asking more questions, then a myriad of SMS but not enough information. So you have to spend more time texting them than enjoying your stay. Atenti: the apt was beautiful, with a stunning view of the downtown Austin.

Splendid stay in glorious apartment Faced with a 6-night business stay in Austin and hotel prices that made our bank account weep, we found The Guild. We very happily ate like kings and did our own laundry all without additional hotel fees. Our apartment was a genuine home from home. Except our home in East London doesn't have its own pool and gym. The facilities were really good; lovely bed linen, huge sofa, big TV screen, balcony, friendly neighbours and all the basics we needed. We will be using The Guild again and again as we look to set up an office in Austin, one of the loveliest cities I have visited. We caught Dylan Moran and Eddie Izzard at the theatre too ... what more could we have hoped for?!

The guild Downtown The place was very upscale, I got a good last minute deal on it and I was very surprised at what I was getting into. You enter the building and your room all by codes which was convenient for us. We walked to our favorite bars on 6th St. within 10 minutes. Would definitely stay again

Place was Great, Until I was asked to leave Location of the building was awesome, in the heart of downtown, it is within walking distance of all the Restaurants and Bars, as well as monuments. Comes with everything you need (Full Kitchen/Cooking Implements/ washer & Dryer with Tide), all I needed were Groceries (which they offer to get for you). The Stay was fantastic, right up until our last morning, when the House keeping supervisor walked in to wake me up, and to her surprise she asked "you are still here?". I had filled out the form to say I would depart by 3:00pm, and this woman walked in at 11:30. Why would you have a guest fill a form specifying their departure time, if it's going to be ignored? When I called the Staff, they were unhelpful and provided no solutions, they were silent when I asked what was going to be done, as I was visiting the city and had no plans of leaving until after lunch. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable, and it was only backed by, "we're sorry sir, we have that room rented already at 3:00 pm, we hope you enjoyed your stay".

The Guild is a unique experience that takes some getting used to. The room was great, but dealing only with people online is unusual. The instructions are helpful and accurate, but they must be viewed and followed to make sure that you get everything right. Parking your own vehicle creates some difficulty because finding the lobby entrance is not easily apparent. You have to walk outside with your luggage and into a loading dock area to find the entrance. This type of hotel stay may be the future, and it certainly is much more affordable than the typical hotel. It just takes some getting used to.

Great apartment-style hotel in the heart of Austin The apartment was in a fabulous location in the center of Austin downtown. Very clean, had everything we needed to cook, do laundry, and relax. The staff are really helpful - when we didn’t have any laundry detergent when we went to do laundry, I just texted the frontdesk and they brought me some. The online check-in process was a bit confusing at first, mostly because this was a new process for me, but it was great to be able to do it in advance where I was.

Great Location We loved our vacation in Austin. Delectable eats, live music everywhere, and well laid out bike trails. Staying downtown at the Guild was a great choice. Glad they were able to fix the elevator.

Overall our stay was good. The place was clean and comfortable. There were extra sheets for the couch bed but no pillows, however, the bed had extra pillows so we used those. The big negative was that there were rats and mice all over the outside where you enter to get into the building. They were only there late at night. Because downtown Austin has a lot of hotels and restaurants, this may be a city issue. They were scurrying around under the planters on the city sidewalk and inside the entry gate where you had to enter to get to the elevator. Upon returning our second night, we went in through the garage instead.

Great place, some kinks to be worked out First, the good. Great location, with lots of good food and entertainment nearby. The unit itself is spacious and comfortable. Decorations are quirky and very Austin-appropriate. Now, the not-so-good. Check-in was somewhat clunky. Parking wasn't well marked or described. I originally thought the garage was for the theater in the building. I called the number and someone friendly answered immediately and talked me through the process. Didn't have enough parking stickers in the unit, but they brought me some in a timely manner. Checkout was similar. Had to text and ask about using the elevator without the fob, which I had to leave in the room. I would definitely stay there again, especially now that I know what to expect.

Perfect Place, Awesome People My stay was AMAZING. The complex I stayed in was nice and clean, it was quiet compared to the busier parts of Downtown Austin. I practically had my own little apartment to myself. Amazing views of the city. Pool and fitness center area were a great perk and very relaxing. There was also a nice work area in the downstairs lounge. I had a very comfortable stay and plenty of space to myself. It was also very convenient for my work trip - I could see my office from my room! Communication with The Guild was awesome. Even though there were some issues with receiving check-in/registration information initially, they were very gracious and helpful in figuring it out with me. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back in town!

Worst check-in UX ever! They want to be innovative over the screening process, writing some funny things, but they totally missed the goal. Looks like a cryptographic design, asking your for pictures of your id, back of your id, then you have to pose with your id, then asking more questions, then a myriad of SMS but not enough information. So you have to spend more time texting them than enjoying your stay. Atenti: the apt was beautiful, with a stunning view of the downtown Austin.

Splendid stay in glorious apartment Faced with a 6-night business stay in Austin and hotel prices that made our bank account weep, we found The Guild. We very happily ate like kings and did our own laundry all without additional hotel fees. Our apartment was a genuine home from home. Except our home in East London doesn't have its own pool and gym. The facilities were really good; lovely bed linen, huge sofa, big TV screen, balcony, friendly neighbours and all the basics we needed. We will be using The Guild again and again as we look to set up an office in Austin, one of the loveliest cities I have visited. We caught Dylan Moran and Eddie Izzard at the theatre too ... what more could we have hoped for?!

The guild Downtown The place was very upscale, I got a good last minute deal on it and I was very surprised at what I was getting into. You enter the building and your room all by codes which was convenient for us. We walked to our favorite bars on 6th St. within 10 minutes. Would definitely stay again

Place was Great, Until I was asked to leave Location of the building was awesome, in the heart of downtown, it is within walking distance of all the Restaurants and Bars, as well as monuments. Comes with everything you need (Full Kitchen/Cooking Implements/ washer & Dryer with Tide), all I needed were Groceries (which they offer to get for you). The Stay was fantastic, right up until our last morning, when the House keeping supervisor walked in to wake me up, and to her surprise she asked "you are still here?". I had filled out the form to say I would depart by 3:00pm, and this woman walked in at 11:30. Why would you have a guest fill a form specifying their departure time, if it's going to be ignored? When I called the Staff, they were unhelpful and provided no solutions, they were silent when I asked what was going to be done, as I was visiting the city and had no plans of leaving until after lunch. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable, and it was only backed by, "we're sorry sir, we have that room rented already at 3:00 pm, we hope you enjoyed your stay".

The Guild is a unique experience that takes some getting used to. The room was great, but dealing only with people online is unusual. The instructions are helpful and accurate, but they must be viewed and followed to make sure that you get everything right. Parking your own vehicle creates some difficulty because finding the lobby entrance is not easily apparent. You have to walk outside with your luggage and into a loading dock area to find the entrance. This type of hotel stay may be the future, and it certainly is much more affordable than the typical hotel. It just takes some getting used to.

Another great stay at the Guild I've staying with the Guild multiple times at several facilities. The places are always amazing and I love just being able to check myself in. The whole experience is always hassle free.

Great apartment-style hotel in the heart of Austin The apartment was in a fabulous location in the center of Austin downtown. Very clean, had everything we needed to cook, do laundry, and relax. The staff are really helpful - when we didn’t have any laundry detergent when we went to do laundry, I just texted the frontdesk and they brought me some. The online check-in process was a bit confusing at first, mostly because this was a new process for me, but it was great to be able to do it in advance where I was.

Great Location We loved our vacation in Austin. Delectable eats, live music everywhere, and well laid out bike trails. Staying downtown at the Guild was a great choice. Glad they were able to fix the elevator.

Overall our stay was good. The place was clean and comfortable. There were extra sheets for the couch bed but no pillows, however, the bed had extra pillows so we used those. The big negative was that there were rats and mice all over the outside where you enter to get into the building. They were only there late at night. Because downtown Austin has a lot of hotels and restaurants, this may be a city issue. They were scurrying around under the planters on the city sidewalk and inside the entry gate where you had to enter to get to the elevator. Upon returning our second night, we went in through the garage instead.

Great place, some kinks to be worked out First, the good. Great location, with lots of good food and entertainment nearby. The unit itself is spacious and comfortable. Decorations are quirky and very Austin-appropriate. Now, the not-so-good. Check-in was somewhat clunky. Parking wasn't well marked or described. I originally thought the garage was for the theater in the building. I called the number and someone friendly answered immediately and talked me through the process. Didn't have enough parking stickers in the unit, but they brought me some in a timely manner. Checkout was similar. Had to text and ask about using the elevator without the fob, which I had to leave in the room. I would definitely stay there again, especially now that I know what to expect.
