First, there were two things I appreciated about this reservation. The location was great, very close to where we needed to go. Secondly, when I complained about the cleanliness and sent pictures of the filth, they offered back the cleaning fee, which I was happy about. Although, I do feel it was so bad that we should have gotten a full refund. Our first issue was the parking. There was a clear typo on the check-in page that was provided to us, and that typo made it unclear on what we were supposed to do. I reached out to "virtual clerk" and didn't hear back for an hour, so their 24/7 service isn't a huge help. We stayed in unit 601 on floor 6. This was a pretty rough looking apartment. The pictures they show online definitely appear way, way better than what is actually there. As soon as we walked in, we knew that it was not cleaned and that the apartment was very, very used. It was almost like someone lived there, but just left for the weekend. Not only were there stains all over the floors and walls, but it looked like it hadn't been dusted or cleaned in months. There was dry pee all over the toilet seat and down the side, there was hair in the shower and in the "clean" beds, the floors were not swept, there were crumbs in the sink and on the rugs, the nightstands in both bedrooms were full of dust, there was dry toothpaste in the bathroom sink. Several of the lamps didn't even work. The security guard wasn't friendly, she didn't even look at us when we walked by or say anything to us at all. The entire lobby smelled SO bad of weed, every time we came in and out. The building itself seems to be falling apart. People were loitering outside and begging for money so it felt uncomfortable coming and going, especially with our kids. The security code was the exact same for the building AND our apartment door, and that felt unsafe. The room we stayed in was literally right outside the elevator and the elevator door was so, so loud (needs maintenance but I'm sure that's not a priority). The 4 of us who slept on the beds had a terrible night because mattresses were SO hard and the blankets/sheets felt so scratchy/crusty. The beds were also very loud so the entire apartment would hear someone roll over. One of our kids needed to sleep on the pullout. The minute we pulled it out, we immediately pushed it right back in due to the shape it was in. We ended up putting a sheet down on the couch and having him sleep on the couch. We didn't have enough bedding for him either and no extras were provided. We were only there ONE night and we almost ran out of toilet paper. I regret not spending the extra $100 and staying in a nice, well-taken-care-of, CLEAN hotel room.
