8/10 Very good
A 10 and a 6 wrapped into one stay!
I have two parts to this review-- if I had to separate, part I is 6 and part II is a 10!
The pre-check-in communication was not strong. First, if you are booking this on Hotels.com, it is not clear this is an AMLI apartment building (it is). It is also not clear that you need to go through an identity verification process before they will finalize your booking (you do). Then, there was a message that indicated that arrival instructions would be sent-- I've check spam, etc. and this information was not sent. The information is vital as there is no one staffing a desk after 6/6:30. On the day of arrival, I was on hold for 15 minutes while they retrieved my registration information. They said they'd send while I was en route in an Uber to the property-- they did not.
Even then, my arrival contact (got there at 6:15) wasn't great. She was nice, but it took another 10 minutes to get me codes to check-in. Then, the procedure for accessing the elevator was not explained (and folks, it is not intuitive as swiping-- you had to exit, go to a kiosk with resident-look-up information and punch in the code). Also, I entered at an awful entrance-- it took forever to get to my room!
Now, regarding the rest of my stay- a 10! For the same cost as a hotel, I had a well appointed 1-BR condo with a balcony overlooking the city. The pool and common areas were great. The condo itself was modern, cool, etc. I'd stay again, but understand that entry may be rough!
