Reviews of Kasa Gaslamp Quarter San DiegoReviews of Kasa Gaslamp Quarter San Diego

The stay was perfectly quiet. Tucked away in the very busy sociable streets in San Diego. Very big space clean. Felt like I was home. Loved it.

Gran estancia, buena ubicación, me volveré a hospedar pronto en el mismo lugar

Well located, clean and comfy.

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was in a great location. It’s right next to bars and restaurants, everything is within walking distance. The only drawback is parking. We parked at a nearby parking structure and walked about 7 minutes. Not a huge deal for a short stay since we didn’t have to carry too much back and forth. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Dislikes: Abbastanza rumorosa la stanza che dà sulla via principale

Kasa was exactly as advertised. While I anticipated parking to be a challenge, there were several nearby lots available. I chose to move my car to street parking around 5 a.m. and had no issues. A pleasant surprise was how well soundproofed the room was, I expected some noise due to the surrounding nightlife, but it was remarkably quiet and easy to get restful sleep. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained.

Great location on 5th Ave Amazing location if you want to be in the middle of the action.

This is an OLD Hotel, which I loved as it was so historic. Completely remodeled inside though. Amazing location in the historic Gas Lamp District. So many great places to eat all around the hotel. I was here on business & it was WAY less expensive than the big-name hotels. I will be staying here again with my wife when I come back for my nephew's graduation from USMC Boot Camp in September.

great place and close to the convention center unit was great but there was quite a bit of noise from the club below. did have difficulty getting into the building to start with. took over an hour to get the correct code to enter. the water and snacks were a bonus and much appreciated. was walking distance from the convention center.

It was very close to Petco park which was great and they were very responsive and friendly.

I've visited San Diego several times, and this has been the best location I've stayed in so far. The apartment is right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, just a short walk to the Convention Center and surrounded by countless bars, restaurants, and entertainment options. It's an ideal spot for both business and leisure travelers. The only suggestion I have is to offer luggage storage or recommend a nearby facility for guests who need to store bags after checkout. Otherwise, everything was great—I’d definitely stay here again!

Excelente lugar para una estancia, tiene lugares muy cercanos a los cuales puedes ir caminando, también muchos restaurantes para desayunar, comer y cenar.

Code they gave us did not work for the main door. Contacted support and took them hours to reply. One of the managers from a restaurant saw us struggling and took is to the back of the restaurant where we were able to get in. This was only for the first day when we arrived but was very inconvenient. The bathroom sink was clogged and had to use the kitchen sink. Was very annoying. I would not recommend this place to my friends.

Amazingly clean place and well located in downtown San Diego. I did not have any issues with noise.

This spot is tucked away between two restaurants in the heart of the gaslamp, about five blocks from the convention center. While the entry hall stinks of restaurant kitchen, once you’re upstairs you’re in a quiet and unscented oasis. I enjoyed the closet, table/chairs, minifridge and hot water kettle. There was zero walk home from the bars after post conference socializing, which made me feel safe about staying out as long as the conversations were flowing. Overall a great experience, I plan to stay here again.

It was right in the middle of all the bars and fun places. The place itself was very clean and comfortable, which made it a great space. I would definitely rebook here.

First time staying at Kasa. I will be back! A great stay here. Comfortable bed, great location. Very efficient to work with the staff for check in and check out. Would totally stay here again! Gaslamp Quarter was amazing, and this was right in the middle of it. Easy to access from airport, and great location to convention center and waterfront.

Such a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Very spacious and in a great location. Super cute too!

I did not get to stay there and could not cancel the stay in my Expedia account or directly with Kasa, nor was I able to get a refund. Without a cancellation, I couldn't show proper documentation for the travel insurance, which I had purchased through Expedia. So I was charged for a trip that I didn't get to take. This whole experience was terrible. Due to Expedia's difficult and unhelpful policies and systems, I will not be using them again.

Petco visit This place has as excellent location! Some noise at night but we tolerated it is it was well documented. It could use some touch ups-bathroom door frame &walls, bathroom floor, the bedding was very wrinkled and comforter had “balls” wadding of inner stuffing. Also, the bed is extremely low to the ground!! The elevator was horrible! We used once! And hallway-well the door was off slider to “electrical.” I attempted to communicate about check out duties and I kept getting message to “take trash out but not necessary!” We left earlier than expected and wanted to do everything the night before; I finally called the 3rd party and they informed me plus then I got more info night before. The “no front desk” is odd. Would I stay here again? Probably due to location as we were there for baseball games.

I would it stay here! Horrible. I ended up NOT STAYING, the building is run down. The building has a dense musty smell,I could not breathe it! The elevator looks as though it will fall apart. There is NO parking especially if there is a game nearby. I had 4 rooms reserved and had to find another place for all of us, because I would not ask my staff to stay there!

Nice Room But... The room was cute and well-maintained. I knew going in that it was located above a bar & restaurant, but the level of noise until 2:00am - 3:00am couldn't even begin to be drowned out by the earplugs provided on the nightstand. I also sleep with the tv on, which would've helped with the outside noise levels, but that wasn't possible with the only option for tv being to stream video from my phone through a horrible internet connection there. The Chromecast constantly disconnected, as well as the internet constantly buffering. I was in town for a convention at the convention center several blocks away, but checked out 2 days early after 2 nights of little sleep and having to walk around homeless people and vomit on the sidewalks. Again, their room was nice, but the area was overall gross.

An excellent suite in a great location. An excellent suite with a separate kitchen and living room which I wasn’t expecting. Right in the middle of the gaslamp quarter, which is quite a noisy area, but I had no problem with street noise possibly because my room was on the top floor. A great location, only 5 minute walk from Petco Park.

Likes: love it

Great location in the heart of the Gaslamp district, close to everything. Although it’s an older property and the entrance and elevator is basic, the unit was comfortable with beautiful skylights in the kitchen and living room. The unit was well stocked for anything we needed. Towels and bedding were clean and good quality. The WiFi worked well. It’s noisy at night but earplugs were provided. Tons of eating options for every budget right outside but not much nearby in terms of groceries. Enjoyed the stay! Thanks!

The room was bright and sunny with roof windows. Large room with three area including living space, dinning kitchen space and bedroom space. However, the street was noisy in the middle of night. Ear plugs are available that help a lot.

Wouldnt stay again. Room in back was quiet enough Friend’s room in from very loud feom bars Likes: Comfortable bed. Location was good. Kitchen was good Dislikes: Pull out bed mattress was old. Elevator out more than once. Heavy luggage on 3rd floor.

(Translated by Google) It is a very beautiful place, I really recommend it for traveling, it has everything you need, it is very clean, everything is close, very well maintained, I would definitely return to this place. (Original) Es un lugar muy bonito, la verdad lo recomiendo para viajar tiene todo lo necesario está muy limpio , esta todo cerca , muy bien cuidado sin duda regresaría a este llegar

good

Es un lugar muy bueno para viajar austero, tiene todo lo que ocupas, están muy limpio y ordenando, si acaso había mucho ruido por la zona de bares pero te daban tapones para los oídos, es un lugar excelente volvería llegar aquí sin duda.

The property caretakers were attentive and helpful. It was a very convenient location for us. Nice atmosphere and enjoyed to cleanliness of the facility. Only drawback to this location is that it can get loud. I would not suggest for the light sleepers.

Great location. Very clean. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

地點不錯

Great location! Walking distance to many great restaurants and nightlife. The place itself was as described. Would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again!

Location good but this was THE worst hotel/booking experience I have had in any city or country around the world. The front door to the property has a dysfunctional keypad and the handle seems broken. (Photos below) I am unable to access the property, let alone my room. At this moment, it has now been two and half hours of waiting in the rain texting and calling the only customer service number for Kasa. I have received numerous apologies and have been assured several times that the issue was being addressed and someone was on the way. Yet here I am waiting. The company claims that access can be made through an adjacent restaurant but that is NOT a solution. Access to a paid reservation should not depend on a restaurant operating at specific hours. Additionally, with this keypad issue, why would I trust leaving my items in a room and risk being locked out from my belongings waiting for a nonexistent maintenance team to help. (Makes you wonder how sheets are cleaned huh?) Same story as many companies. Trying to make as much money with as little staff as humanly possible which makes problem solving a non-starter. Two hours of 🤷‍♂️ as a response from the company. I have no recourse now other than cancellling my vacation and driving back home. Edit: 6 hours later and they were still assuring me that they were working on a solution as fast as possible and would hear back soon. By that point, I made the decision to cancel the entire trip and began making the 5.5 hour drive back home. As of now, they say they've granted me a "courtesy" 1 time refund despite their no refund policy. Treating this as a courtesy is disrespectful considering everything that happened today. Besides, I give it a 50/50 chance at best that they honor it. Service is not about the mistake. It is about the solution. It is about actually trying to fix an issue that your customer is facing. They made no offer to transfer my reservation to another property. No offer to make up for this failure. Then they treated a simple refund as a courtesy when I've had to cancel my vacation and burned an entire day driving along with gas costs....all because the only thing that needs to work at their front-desk-less property (the keypad) is broken and apparently they have no staff in a 100 mile radius. They did say sorry multiple times and promised several times that the person fixing it was mere minutes away....so I guess that's something 🙄
