Great room and comfortable bed

Great location in heart of east village. Clean, stylish and cozy

New York is a crazy real estate market but this space was great. Exactly what I needed and wanted.

The apartment is in a great location in LES with lots of restaurants, Chinatown, and Little Italy nearby. Subway stations are also a few minutes walk away. The hosts were very responsive and provided clear instructions. Self check-in was straightforward and convenient. The streets are a bit noisy but the provided white noise machine helps. The apartment is very clean and well stocked with amenities, including an espresso machine. One significant downside is that the room is very dark to the extent that it was difficult to pack/unpack my luggage at night. There were no ceiling lights and only two beside lamps. I contacted the host to ask if they could provide an extra lamp, which they helpfully did. This helped, but still not as great as having properly installed ceiling lights. There is very much a need to improve on this point, especially for the price I am paying.

The room was immaculate and thoughtfully designed, offering everything I could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, location is also conveniently close to subway stations. Definitely exceeded all my expectations. and will want to stay here again!

Theft Dislikes: The staff at this property promised to store my full suitcase as I told them I would be late for check out. They confirmed to me that they would store it. I could not contact them when I came back to pick them up. The next day they informed me that my entire full suitcase had been discarded (thrown in the rubbish) as I was late for check out even though I had told them I was going to be and they confirmed they would store them. I asked to see the cc tv and they refused, I believe the items were stolen. There was an art work in there that they definitely did not discard and definitely stole. Don’t stay here, they were extremely unhelpful about the whole ordeal. Worst accommodation experience I have ever had.

Amazing location! Would stay again. NYC prices but, I think for the location the price is fair. Host were responsive and had an easy to navigate webpage for request/ questions.

Peaceful hideaway in the middle of the bustling Lower East Side. Perfect neighborhood for eating, walking with no destination in mind, and people-watching. My husband and I stayed here for a week -- half of the week spent working, half spent exploring the city. This spot was great for both parts of our trip. The place was far bigger than I expected from the photos, and it was well-designed so that everything in the apartment felt accessible and intuitive. The communication with KASA was professional and proactive as well. Will absolutely stay here again on our next trip. Eat at Champions pizza (hole in the wall near the subway, just 3 blocks away) and Russ & Daughters (3 blocks away also) for the best bagel in NY.

Overall great place to stay. Couldn’t be situated better in the Lower East Side, and the king room I got was nicely situated away from the street that it was nice and quiet in the evening. The king room was surprisingly spacious for NYC, had a cool little nook next to the big window, a little sitting table on the opposite side, a big full length mirror on the way out the door so you can check how sharp you look, very nice place! My only minor quibbles were some small maintenance issues. The toilet paper roll holder needs to be properly screwed in (fell off a couple of times). The door to the bathroom is a little difficult to slide in and out. The water pressure is not the best. But overall, nothing that that made my stay worse. Would stay there again. So if you are looking for a good spot to hunker down in a bustling neighborhood with good access to a central subway line, an easy recommendation.

Had a really good stay here - no frills but convenient, great location and nice that the room was well stocked with towels, a fridge and a kettle etc The perfect spot for a week or 2 in New York

Great location to stay in Manhattan, walking distance to places in LES, chinatown, soho and little italy. Easy access to subway. Room is small but you have everything you need. Building is clean and quiet too. I would definitely recommend!!

Kasa was a great place to stay while in Manhattan. Very large space compared to most and everything was clean and very comfy. Also really quiet so great for getting rest and relaxation. Highly recommend!

Not well taken care of. My room had a lot of problems. If anyone was paying attention, they never would have put a guest in it: Big crack in the window, bathroom door didn't work, shower floods the bathroom when used, smelled like a public toilet (smell of sewage wafting by as well as deodorizer used to cover it up). I was eventually moved to another room. It was not perfect but good enough. If I was never put in the bad room, I'd think this hotel was a good deal for the price. The bad room left me really dissatisfied. Dealing with customer service was poor quality. They said how much they cared but didn't act like it. I asked specially not to have more deodorizer added in my room (which they agreed to) because the smell was making me ill, but they did it anyway. End of the day, they finally told me to pack to move rooms. I was out and they said no rush. I contacted them upon return and they didn't respond for two hours. I ended up moving after midnight. It was exhausting. Other than that. It's a good deal for a convenient location. Neighborhood has a bit of a drug problem but is otherwise fine. No one bothered me and I knew what I was getting for the price. Top reason to book here is that it's hard to find a hotel with a fridge and microwave or kitchen. Those things worked and are important to me.

Comfortable, clean

Wir waren für 8 Tage in NYC und die Unterkunft lag perfekt um sowohl schnell überall nach Manhattan, als auch nach Brooklyn zu kommen. Das Zimmer war ausreichen für zwei Personen und es war nicht zu laut. Die Balkone auf den oberen Etagen sind am Abend sehr zu empfehlen! Einige Ecken waren verstaubt, aber für New York Verhältnisse vollkommen in Ordnung.

Great place, clean, comfortable and located in a fun and accessible neighborhood. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

Really good location in LES. Plenty of restaurants and shops - definitely in the thick of activity. That being said, the apartment was very soundproof. We didn’t hear noise from the street or our neighbors. The kitchenette is adequate for simple meals. Very convenient to transportation as well. It’s minimalist in terms of decor, but it fits the building vibe. We’ll stay here again.

Ottimo alloggio e ottima posizione. Ottima stanza ma non è un appartamento con una area per mangiare o rilassarsi.

Stanza pulita, sufficientemente spaziosa, non perfettamente insonorizzata (affaccio sulla strada molto trafficata). Molto apprezzabile l’angolo con frigorifero, microonde, macchina del caffè a cialde e bollitore. Posizione buona, nelle vicinanze di varie linee di metropolitana, facilmente raggiungibile anche da JFK.

Great apartment and assistance team! I had a great experience with Kasa. The team was always available and quick to help with anything. The apartment is super comfortable, with special mention to the bed! I’ve spent a very long time in the apartment, so I would say I have authority to give a review 😂 and I strongly recommend it.

We booked the king room with soaker tub for our 7 day stay in NYC. We loved staying in the LES, and would definitely return again to Kasa Lantern. Pros: LOCATION, cleanliness, size of the room, soaker tub, luxury bathroom products, ample kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies all provided. We made good use of the nespresso, fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and TV synced well with our phones via Google play. Check in/out was a breeze, WiFi was strong. Room was relatively quiet (it’s NYC so let’s be real), but if there are people in the hallway you can definitely hear them. Cons: they state they do not offer refreshments of any supplies during your stay - so no towel replacements during a hot sweaty summer week in NYC was pushing it. There are laundry machines in the building that guests can use for free, but we didn’t want to spend time waiting around for washer/dryer during our vacation. Additionally, although they provide the nespresso machine and pods, they only provided 6 pods - there were 2 of us staying for 7 days so it would have been nice to have a pod/person, per morning. Also, if you book the soaker tub room, please note the tub is in the hallway- not the bathroom. Not a problem for us, but if you’re hoping for privacy during your soak, something to consider. :) Thanks for having us, overall a great stay in an awesome location, very close to subway stations, unreal vintage stores, and amazing restaurants. Walking distance to Chinatown and Little Italy. Easy access to Brooklyn and other boroughs via metro.

Appartamento dotato di tutto il necessario sia in bagno che in cucina. La zona molto degradata e mal frequentata sopratutto di notte, ma collegata benissimo. le numerose linee di metro ti consentono di raggiungere agevolmente ogni parte di NY. L host è disponibile e reattivo ma non è il proprietario della casa. Quindi in caso di problemi si deve attendere la risoluzione da parte della proprietà. Nel nostro caso siamo rimasti senza elettricità per oltre 24 ore in quanto la proprietà ha tardato nella riparazione. Questo ha creato un enorme disagio che ha reso meno gradevole il soggiorno.

Loved staying in the LES- big room (for NYC), comfortable bed and everything you need. We stayed for a week and the only thing I wanted to have is more fresh towels. Will return next time in NYC! Thanks for everything.

Chambre non en adéquation avec les photos ainsi que la description sur le site detritus et poubelles devant l'immeuble de la chambre nous avons réservé un studio avec salon séparé supposé nous permettre de prendre nos repas sur place et avons eu une simple petite chambre....de plus l'endroit est très mal isolé dans un quartier très mal famé.... Pour moi il s'agit purement et simplement de publicité mensongère....bref très très très déçus

΄Εχω πολύ ανάμικτα αισθήματα για αυτή τη διαμονή. Τα θετικά είναι ότι στο σημείο που βρίσκεται έχεις καλή πρόσβαση στο κέντρο της πόλης, υπάρχουν πολλά μαγαζιάγύρω για φαγητό και ποτό το βράδυ, το δωμάτιο είναι καθαρό, μεγάλο, άνετο, το κρεβάτι επίσης κι έχει όλα τα βασικά που χρειάζεσαι. Τα αρνητικά: είχαμε πολύ μεγάλο πρόβλημα με την επικοινωνία που το θεωρώ το Νο. 1. Αν και μας απαντούσαν και από πριν φτάσουμε, τα μηνύματα φαίνονταν ότι είναι τυποποιημένα και ηλεκτρονικά και δε βοηθούσαν σε αυτό που ρωτούσαμε. Σα να μην απαντούσε άνθρωπος αλλά ρομπότ. Μόλις μισή ώρα πριν μπούμε δεν επιτρεπόταν να ξέρουμε και αυτό ήταν τεράστιο πρόβλημα. Η ταράτσα έκλεινε από τις 6 και έτσι δεν την είδαμε ποτέ, η τηλεόραση δε δούλευε αλλά ήθελε κι αυτή κωδικούς από τάμπλετ και μια πολύπλοκη διαδικασία (δεν τα καταφέραμε να δούμε), ο νιπτήρασ ήταν βουλωμένος, δεν έφευγε το νερό. Για να τα λύσουμε αυτά έπρεπε να επικοινωνούμε συνέχεια κάτι πολύ δύσκολο. Δεν απαντούσαν αμέσως. Αυτό είναι και το πρόβλημα

Appartamento molto bello, pulito, da sottolineare la comodità di materasso e cuscini. Bel quartiere,strategico per prendere la linea della metro che collega al centro. Solo la porta del bagno a scomparsa era un pochino dura da chiudere ma per il resto 10 e lode!

Kasa is conveniently located near Chinatown and Little Italy, with easy access to both subways and buses. The area is full of dining options and shops, making it easy to find everything you need. I had an amazing stay at Kasa! The apartment was spotless, stylishly decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit, it also had laundry detergent and iron. The location was perfect—close to great restaurants, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. The host was incredibly responsive and provided helpful recommendations for the area. The attention to detail, from the cozy bedding to the thoughtful amenities like coffee and toiletries, really made the stay feel special. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

This place is awesome! Way more spacious than it looks (and as spacious as you’ll find for the price in NYC). Super convenient and walkable to many of the best restaurants in NYC. Great neighborhood. Building, room, and hosts all exceeded expectations and I would recommend to anyone visiting NYC for any period of time. I stayed here for three weeks and never felt cramped.

Great place that was very close to an apartment we were setting up. KASA is very responsive and sends nice texts checking in to see how everything is going. Check in was easy and we had access to extra towels, which we needed. Close to a lot of restaurants and bars so very walkable in the lower east village.

The place was more spacious than expected and the hosts were always very responsive and helpful. When our AC broke they instantly offered to move us to another apartment until the AC is fixed or give us a refund. We also loved the location as so many great restaurants and neighborhoods were a walkable distance from the apartment. The walls are a bit thin though so if you have bad luck and very noisy neighbours, you will hear everything... Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
