DO NOT STAY HERE DURING TRANSITIONAL MONTHS! This is my first bad review on Airbnb after using this platform for more than a decade. We stayed here for 3 nights on a warm weekend in mid October. Despite reading the fine print prior to booking, I was expecting the full list of amenities including central A/C during our dates. The building works on a 2 pipe system which means it’s either on heat or A/C for the entire property but not both and cannot switch between the two. Unfortunately for us, they switched to the heat mode prior to our arrival so it was a steamy 78 and 79 degrees in the apartment on the 15th floor. We were not notified of this prior to arrival which would have been a dealbreaker. When we contacted Kasa management about the heat they initially said the A/C should work bc “heat is turned off around October 30th” which was also what the original fine print stated then later edited. After much back and forth we were given two smalls which were not adequate. Donotrecommend!

There were holes patched up in the wall, the tub looked dirty, water drained slowly in shower/tub. Parking overnight in building was outrageously expensive (50$) a night. Elevators took forever and there was often a line to get into them. On last day water was shut off. Hated communicating with a bot. Would never stay here again.

Kasa was a nice place to stay while visiting Chicago for a weekend. It was clean and close to transportation and other attractions. However, a downside is that there are no black out curtains/shades in the apartment so it is very bright in the morning. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Once the problem with the lack of information was solved, everything was perfect! Likes: The location was perfect and beautiful. The red line metro was less than 100 meters away (1/2 stops to reach the Loop - Downtown). Very close was also a big supermarket with organic food. Lake Michigan was only a kilometer away and the Magnificent Mile even closer. Dislikes: The price was quite high (it was marathon week ok, but still). I booked via Booking.com and until 2 days before I left for Chicago I didn't know anything about the address of the property nor about how to check-in. I tried in vain to contact the property via Booking.com without getting any answer. So I decided to get in touch with "Kasa" using the email from their website. Only then was I able to get all the information I needed. But it was not my job to do this. I should have gotten all the information via the Booking site!!!

Likes: Excellent alternative to a hotel. Dislikes: Check in and check out times were very strict. They do have staff for bag storage onsite (which was not clear from the website — the website was really misleading), but such staff is available only for limited hours. They stopped offering a few amenities — like dryer sheets — which they might continue to offer — it’s helpful for the traveler but not really not expensive to provide.

Will definitely book again! Likes: Great location and great space. Loved having the convenience of an apartment during a multi-day stay with a toddler. They provided a pack n' play as well, which was set up and ready when we arrived. Checking in and out was a breeze. The view was great as well! Dislikes: The apartment was showing its age - some chips in paint on walls, no fan in the (fully interior) bathroom, the kitchen fan non-operational. Perhaps some touch-ups and general maintenance is warranted.

It was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Likes: Very good location; walking distance from the main streets; metro and Whole Foods around the corner. The building has a very good gym space. The apartment is well-equipped, a better hair dryer would be a must, but the blinds were terrible, and a bonus cleaning service would be welcome. Dislikes: Definitely the blinds! And the hair dryer.

Good enough for our trip. Likes: Good location. Fast, efficient elevators. Secure building. Nice kitchen. Dislikes: Decor was very sparse. Not very homey or inviting. Lighting was mediocre at best. There were divots in the paint on several walls, and there was mildew in the bathroom (which did not have a fan). Plenty of shelf space, but no dresser or drawers.

Likes: Great location and getting dropped off/picked up was very easy. Whole foods right across the street is a great option. Dislikes: It would be nice to have a mix of pillow options. I'm not a huge fan of the king sized, overstuffed pillows. It would be nice for at least one flatter pillow.
