Pros:
Location is good if you are looking for West Loop location. 15 min walk to south end of millennium park (museum campus). Target, a Jewel Osco (grocery store) and Trader Joe’s all within 5-10 min walk.
Units were spacious, clean, and comfortable; mattresses were very comfortable, washer/dryer and kitchen appliances were useful. Roku TV also nice.
Cons:
Our room (1313) was not the one pictured, thus, our expectations were not exactly met. Our unit was lower than pictured and overlooked the train tracks (facing west) and as a result, was extremely loud. You are not told which unit you’ll get until 24 hours before checkin and it’s unclear whether or not the guest has any say in it.
Units would benefit greatly from blackout curtains as the blinds weren’t enough to block out any light.
Check in process was horrendous and extremely inconvenient. It seemed like it would be easy enough but the instructions that say “check in with concierge” should be rewritten to say “follow virtual check in instructions via the email step by step and do not expect any help or assistance from front desk staff, including any knowledge whatsoever about the Kasa process or codes.
The front desk staff at this building were entirely useless. They actively did nothing to help or assist, even when visibly laden with bags and baggage, fumbling for a key fob, no one came to help open a door, call a cab, or help with the checkin process. Do not expect bag storage, even though front desk is staffed and could probably hold bags in a room. Basically, assume building is entirely unstaffed.
Without a car, expect a minimum of 15 min walk to get to most tourist areas (more like 30-60 min), or a minimum $15-20 Lyft/Uber/cab fare to get anywhere.
