10/10 Exceptional
Great place! Very walkable location in the south Loop, walkable distance to museum complex, Soldiers Field, Millennium Park, Art Institute, etc. Lots of great dining options nearby, and Target is virtually next door. So for a week-long stay, it’s easy to stock up on snacks, drinks, food, etc.
The view faces eastward toward the lake, and you can even see the Shedd Aquarium in the distance. It’s stunning.
The bathroom has shower gel, conditioner, and shampoo, and it was quality stuff too. Nice size, plenty of room for me and my two kids. Huge walk-in closet, so was able to unpack comfortably.
The building has a nice gym, with all the usual cardio stuff, but also dumbbells up to 50 lbs, and some kettlebells, and a separate room for yoga/barre/stretching/mobility work. Gym also had a functional trainer, a smith rack, and a bunch of weight machines I didn’t look at too closely.
Two only issues:
1) In main bedroom, there’s a outlet with a box attached, it hums REALLY loud and made falling asleep harder than silence. If you are sensitive to sound, bring ear plugs. Or hopefully Kasa fixes the issue.
2) The windows are east facing, so it gets BRIGHT in the morning, with no way to black out the light. There are white slat blinds that do very little to darken the room. If you are sensitive to morning light, bring an eye mask, or pick one up at Target when you arrive.
Besides that, though, fantastic place, and I’d definitely return.
