An upscale no-nonsense hotel. There is no physical staff at the hotel, upon booking they send you check-in instructions and when your check-in date approaches you will get a code to access the building, elevator, and your assigned room. Instructions were easy and I felt secure with all the different layers of codes. If you don't have a basic level of tech skills, this may be difficult for you.
The area is safe and clean and you can walk to many areas in the Castro, bars, restaurants, and, public transport.
Common areas were clean and the bar was a great place to start the night. The free drink was a nice touch.
The room was small but well organized and everything had its place. I loved the bed, private bathroom, with the sink separate from the toilet and shower area. We also enjoyed the patio and the ability to open the windows. Every morning I enjoyed the coffee maker and kettle.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat but I'd caution others that this is more like a serviced Airbnb and not a hotel.
Being one of the only acceptable hotels in the Castro, this is a gem.
