Great time as always

The space was great. We loved staying at The Maverick. We would definitely recommend and would stay there again!

The room and location is nice however our AC keeps on breaking and gets up to 85 degrees. Tried texting or using the browser chat for the virtual concierge but didn’t receive a response. We had to call the actual phone number provided. Gave us instructions on how to fix it. This only worked for a few hours before it stopped in the middle of the night. When we called in the morning, we were told to repeat the instructions we were given. A work order was put in but they gave us no eta. It’s not our responsibility as guests to keep resetting the AC every few hours to keep our room at a decent temperature Don’t stay here. It’s not worth the headache if there is an issue with the room.

Great for one or two nights. Lovely welcoming staff. Likes: Renovated old building. Eclectic interior. Dislikes: Room is small but has everything needed.

I was so blown away by how gorgeous my room was. Absolutely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. There were so many personal touches - from the makeup wipes, to the cookies, to the extra towels. I loved that the tv let me cast Netflix from my phone. The claw foot bathtub was massive and perfect for a good soak. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows, too. And communication with the hotel through text was easy and quick. Genuinely, I would stay here again in a heartbeat and already sent the hotel to my friends and family recommending it for their next Pittsburgh stay. As a solo female traveler, the area was safe and street parking was very accessible. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

It was a nice place. There's no on-site parking, but there was some really close by. Perfect location. It felt like we got a queens suite instead of the kings which is what we paid for, but it's fine. We liked the room all the same.

Perfect mix of historic and modern A very easy check-in and out process and very helpful and kind staff! We would absolutely stay here again! The outside of the building looks historic and old, but the rooms themselves are very modern and comfortable. It’s also close to lots of fun historic places!

This place should be called Caroline and Aaron’s hotel! Fantastic customer service from both. They both really care. Rooms are a bit odd. Small and long. Idk maybe the word is tight. I asked for early check in. Didn’t get it. Checked into a dirty room but Caroline is a pro and fixed it immediately. Bit pricey for what you get I felt. Location is great tho. And I slept great, comfortable bed. It was quiet. I asked for a late check out and was quoted $40 extra. Then I called and got Guam or India or the Philippines. They finally said yes if I pay first and then they would reimburse me. I decided against that. However the next day the service I received from Aaron made up for it. Kitchy quirky place.

Our stay at the Maverick by Kasa exceeded expectations. The virtual check in and check out was smooth, the room was spacious and fashionable. The hotel was conveniently located and very reasonable price wise. The only downside was the surrounding area which felt a little isolated. We will stay again the next time we’re in town.

I was concerned at first that there was no parking available. There was, however, street parking directly across the street at no charge at night. I was also concerned that there is no front desk, not a regular hotel, but the instructions were clear, and we had no problems. The building is very old which is evident on entry. The rooms are nicely redone. The bed was comfortable, but the far side had a platform just below the mattress which made it hard for the one sleeping there to get in and out. The TV was in the way. Note that the only TV available is what you have on your phone or other device, such as your Netflix, YouTube or whatever. No other TV is available.

The Maverick was a terrific home base to explore Pittsburgh. Likes: The room was huge, comfortable and stylish. They provided a hair dryer, ironing board, lots of places to hang things, coffee maker, fridge, safe and microwave. We had access to the concierge cabinets also, if we needed more. Their toiletries were refillable and not overly packaged. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the window seats and big windows: the view was nice and the building was peaceful. Check in/out was easy and the staff was super responsive and attentive. Dislikes: We specifically chose the room because it had a tub, which we don’t have at home, and we’re looking forward to a bath after walking all around town, but the plug was broken. The staff was responsive and sent someone to fix it, but the replacement plug still didn’t work. Just a minor disappointment. Also, we used the tv to cast YouTube from our phone, but it would have been nice to have been provided an option or two for movies, since we didn’t realize we’d have to bring our own streaming options. Again, didn’t make that big an impact on our stay- just would have been nice for the price.

Not a luxurious stay, but for the money it provided an adequate accommodation; good choice for a budget without the fril Likes: The location was close to restaurants; ease of access and clear instructions with timely communications; room was clean and adequately appointed; quiet throughout the stay with no intrusion. Dislikes: The bed was not very comfortable and a bit low to the ground; sheets were of cheap quality; and, the room code was identical to the building entrance code which felt somewhat odd and unsafe.

We loved our stay at the Maverick! Our room was right across from a historic church. It had beautiful views of the surrounding area and was walking distance to local restaurants and shops. The room was clean and the bathtub was perfect.

Likes: Staff super friendly, especially the young lady blondish hair I forgot her name. She was amazing and super helpful. Dislikes: Bathroom set up. Oh and the floor was slippery , lastly no cable or local channels for the TV? I could only stream Netflix from my phone.

Everyone was great. My room was great. If anything, it takes a long time for water to get hot. LOVED the Maverick!

Just as pictured! We had a great stay

Likes: The building is stunning. The units are chic, clean, and comfortable. The view from the higher floors is nice. Check-in was simple and contactless. The area had some great restaurants within walking distance. Dislikes: We could not find coffee cups. Despite searching the concierge closet and our room. The parking situation isn't the best. It was easy enough for us, but if you park on the street in front, you have to use an app to pay every 2 hours during the weekdays.

This property was an old YMCA. It’s a beautiful property and the rooms had a cool 1930’s vibe. The location is great and within walkable distance to many restaurants. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bed abutted one wall so access to that side was very awkward and difficult if you had to get up in the middle of the night. We were lucky and got on street parking but there is a parking lot behind the hotel.

great quiet place to relax at

Beautiful location Very clean and welcoming space, well situated for bars and restaurants. The building has a lot of history, and they've restored the gym and ballroom of the old YMCA as event spaces.

Wonderful, unique One of the nicest places we've ever stayed! Huge sunny windows, chic decor, a comfy window seat, super clean, good coffee maker and coffee choices. Really good directions to get into room. Super location. So nice to stay in a room that is not brown and generic.

The drive to downtown is worth it; if you're going to Pittsburgh, STAY HERE. Likes: You cannot beat the price, especially for the location. Surrounding neighborhood was friendly, with tons of walkability to many fantastic sites and restaurants. Loved our concierge; and when she wasn't there, the concierge closet came in CLUTCH. Just being able to grab an extra blanket or garbage bag made Kasa the hotel chain I will book with again! Dislikes: I love love LOVE old buildings, but just due to the nature of them, our room was a bit troublesome to keep an even temperature. A miniscule complaint, but I have to write something here lol.

Second time I've stayed there. Clean, well-designed, great location. Likes: Great place! I like the virtual front desk.

Always a great stay

The room is fantastic and clean! It's quiet and safe with lots of restaurant options surrounding it. However, there should be a parking waiver worked out for guests. Just so that the guest isn't always having to be concerned with parking. And, the staff should remind guests immediately that there is ice and towels etc on the premises.

Amazing service and kept very clean. Made the vacation go by a lot smoother. I would definitely come back again next Fourth of July if I can!

A nice, quiet room, with a window seat overlooking the large church across the street. Wifi and streaming to the TV was good as well. Check in was pretty smooth - there was minor confusion when I entered the front door code and I thought it wasn't working. Turns out the code was right, but the light on the box stayed red no matter what (I thought it would turn green!). Overall, I'd definitely stay here again - it was a good price for a cute place with character and in a great location for bars and restaurants!
