This is an Airbnb, not a hotel, with no housekeeping and horrid pillows
Likes: Great location within walking distance to lots of restaurants and cafes. If you want to be in the heart of Pittsburgh, this is a great place to be. The room was nicely decorated and I enjoyed the view of the huge church next door.
Dislikes: I didn't know this was more akin to an Airbnb than an actual hotel. I was there for a week and there was never house keeping. That means a week without the trash emptied, coffees restocked, fresh towels, a made bed, etc. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were atrocious.
The shower is either scalding hot or freezing cold, and it's super difficult to find the teeny-tiny middle ground where you'll actually be comfortable. There's no cable on the television; you have to cast something from your phone or computer if you want to watch anything. I was looking for a place to relax and take it easy, but this felt like a lot of fiddling with tech, which wasn't what I wanted to do after being on a plane all day.
I personally didn't like the "virtual check-in", which involves uploading pictures of your license and getting the code to the building's front door and your room via text. If you're a person who stays at Airbnbs and likes them, this place might be more of what you're expecting, but I didn't realize what I was getting into.
