We were so pleased with everything about Kasa Maverick! We were concerned about finding parking, especially since we were there on a very busy weekend (the NFL draft) but we found street parking right out front twice! (Street parking thru ParkMobile was 1.50/hour 8am til 6pm. Additionally, we could see one of the lots out of our window and it was never more than 2/3 full all weekend). The building is SO cool and everything is clean and beautifully decorated. Our room wasn’t large, but it was perfect for 2 people with a comfy bed, a huge bathroom, and nice touches like coffee, tea, and even a treat to welcome us. Nice linens/towels. There was barely any noise around us from the city below or any fellow guests. We ended up eating dinner at Hey, Babe in the lobby and enjoyed our drinks and food very much! Checkin is super easy on your phone but there was a person in the lobby in case we had any problems. We will absolutely stay here again when we are in town!

Overall had a WONDERFUL stay at this boutique hotel. In a really good area surrounded by coffee shops, great food and isn’t too far to get downtown and north shore in a timely manner. Had a slight issue with checking in we arrived after the employees went home but was able to get everything worked out by calling the number on the sign after a few minutes. If they had a bit more signage it would have been a better check in process outside of that small hick up what an amazing stay will be coming back during the NFL Season.

Good experience The hotel was very nice and perfect for my husband and I. We unknowingly booked the hotel the weekend of the NFL draft pick, so being away from the main part of the city was a blessing in disguise. It’s not within walking distance to any main attractions, but it is within walking distance to many restaurants. Check in was much easier than I expected. The only downside was having to go into my email every time we needed to unlock our door to get into our room. Also, note there is no onsite parking, but we found a parking garage about a 5 minute walk away and paid $20 a day. The room is was clean and comfortable, but felt a little stuffy, so we had to put the air on.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed it for. Easy to get in and not too far from our event destination. Parking is right behind the building but you have to pay to park.

I cannot emphasize how much you should stay AWAY from this hotel. A couple weeks ago, I arrived at 10 pm on a Friday after a long drive. The entire building’s AC was out. It was 83 degrees and increasing. I called the “24/7 helpline” and it was an IT company not even located in the state. They promised me someone would come, repeatedly. After over an hour they finally admitted no one would be coming. They could only submit a ticket over and over again to an email that was not monitored. I had to book another hotel that night and was out hundreds of dollars. The next day I returned to the hotel and the actual front desk staff member told me that there is NO ONE available outside of business hours. I asked what would I do if a pipe burst. She shrugged and said get another hotel. Absolutely ridiculous. This is surely against some code? Good to know that in an actual emergency this hotel wouldn’t care if you lived or died. PLEASE book elsewhere for your own safety.

I’ve stayed at this property two or three times now, and I absolutely adore it. The property is clean, location is great, and prices are reasonable, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Plus, I have a love for architecture, and the building’s unique and beautiful design is truly captivating.

Nice place, the restaurant was only open 1 day, and there was construction going on. But the rooms were clean and well stocked. Very nice place to stay.

Luckily, there's someone you can contact in the lobby during the day. I had to use the lockers after checking out and the daycode that was provided by their AI help desk did not work. Other than that, the stay was great but it may be difficult to reach a person of contact when you really need help.

The room was very clean , the bar downstairs was full of life & there was cheap parking close by . Will be staying again !

Comfy, cozy and almost like home My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We liked the ease of the virtual experience and found the property to be clean. We enjoyed the special touches of our room..roll of paper towels, water, makeup washcloth, earplugs and kettle. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Pittsburgh.

Clean, comfortable, luxurious, best place I've ever stayed. The Hey Babe bar and lounge area was perfect for a meal. The place was overall very comfortable and easy for my disabled fiancé to move around in. The view from our room was breathtaking. I honestly have no complaints.

Beautifully appointed with a central location. Persona touch of a handwritten note in our room was really special.

My husband and I came to Pittsburgh for the weekend to attend a ceremony for my son at CMU. We loved the unique vibe at the Maverick. The key code entry was a breeze and the virtual desk was super responsive. The room had everything we needed and the bed and pillows were comfortable. It was very quiet though they even provided earplugs if needed. We also enjoyed the morning coffee station in the lobby and found the the attendant to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and its history. An added plus was the Babe Cafe in the Lobby. It too had a warm and welcoming vibe, great service, and the eggplant dish and crafted drinks were outstanding. We ended our days in Pittsburgh each night there before heading to our cozy room. The building itself has interesting architectural touches-intricate woodwork, marble stairs, the original gym and other unique features. We parked behind the building. The cost was no more than that at hotels where you pay for parking. Great shops and food options on Walnut Street if you are up for a 10-15 minute walk or a quick drive. We look forward to coming back next fall!

Had a bit of trouble figuring out the virtual check-in process (I should've done it in advance) but once I got through that, everything was good. I do wish there were more options to leave luggage in a locked cubby after after checkout, since you lose access to the building after your checkout time, but the staff member that was there on Sunday was there until 4 pm and let me in. (This is mostly an issue for Sunday checkout since the restaurant is open late other days)

I really love staying here when I am in Pittsburgh. It is a great, walkable (which can be tough in Pitt) location with plenty to do around and reasonable access to parking and bus lines. Room was clean and easy to access. I am excited to see what comes with the renovations to the lobby/restaurant area.

Stayed 4 nights recently. Good location for us given the other things we were doing in town. Great old building with lots of cool architectural touches. Room was very spacious but laid out oddly. King size bed could only be accessed on one side - at nearly 70, didn’t appreciate having to climb over my partner to get in/out. No outlet in bathroom, so had to dry my hair in the main area. Liked the amenities closet - able to get fresh towels, canned water, more coffee whenever needed. Didn’t try the bar/restaurant in the lobby but it was lively and popular.

Wonderful experience! Great location for our needs, parking was no problem, the building has been upgraded really well, the room was well designed, and CLEAN!. We will definitely use this location again. I will look for KASA options in other cities as well.

Perfect weekend get away spot My husband and I have stayed at The Maverick several times when visiting our daughter at University of Pittsburgh. The rooms are always clean and well stocked with the essentials. The location is great as well. Close to several delicious restaurants and fun bars.

The stay was so enjoyable. Much needed Quiet get away. Enjoyed some cocktails at the bar too! Awesome atmosphere!
