Everything is walking distance The rooms are nice and the convenience of everything is also a plus. The staff is very friendly. They go out of their way for you. Breakfast in the morning and a swimming pool a eye shot away from your room.

Great Little Hotel A real New Orleans vibe. With a little TLC this could be an exceptional spot.We’ve stayed her twice and both times the pool was too cold to get into and the jacuzzi was room temperature at best.Rooms need a little TLC. Broken drawer. Dirty worn down alarm clock.But it’s close to the best live music venues and the staff is very friendly.

Tired old hotel on busy, loud street The Frenchmen is a tired and rundown hotel. The room was minuscule (even by European standards). The floor tiles were cracked and crumbly, the front door barely closed and the bathroom sink didn’t drain. The windows and walls were extremely thin, which while we enjoyed the very lively neighborhood, was not welcome when we finally went to bed. Free breakfast was bare bones.

Love the Frenchmen! When you're ready to graduate from Bourbon St. to see more of the real beating heart of New Orleans, try a stay at the Frenchmen. The rooms are nice, comfortably appointed, and you're steps away from all the music, food, and action of Frenchmen St. - about 1000x better than Bourbon. Love the Frenchmen and will definitely stay again.

Great stay. It was a convenient location for our trip's to do list. The hotel was very reasonablely priced. We would stay here again the next time we need to stay in that area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very limited.

great It was great , the staff is very friendly, I like the courtyard, the terrace, I like this hotel, only on saturday october the 6th, the neighbor of our room had music rapp very lound with a lot of people inside until 5 am. But it does'matter because I like Frenchmen hotel

A nice old hotel right by the music on Fenchmen St Right at the bottom of Frenchmen St. The music there is all within 5 mins walk. The rest of the French quarter including Burbon St is within 20 mins walk. One of the old streetcar lines is nearby, as is the market. The hotel is old, the rooms I've had have been small and it's not luxurious, but it's is good condition and well run, and the rates are reason.

Great Little Hotel A very nice stay. Rooms are small but adequate. Bed very comfortable. Very clean. Everyone we interacted with was great. This hotel is right on the edge of the French Quarter, convenient to everything. There was some noise at night, but they warn you of that ahead of time. All in all a great visit.

My tour during Tales of the Cocktail week I was visiting while attending Tales of the Cocktails event and toured the property with Malika Ubaka. Great customer experience, very knowledgeable about the property and professional as well. I highly recommend requesting Ms. Ubaka as your personal guide. Keep up the great work! 😍

Let the good times roll! I enjoyed my stay. I really didn’t come here for peace and seclusion. I wanted to be in the mix and I got it. The pool is simple and so close to my room. Everything was clean and very acceptable. Such a short walk to restaurants and bars. The room was small and quaint just like I wanted. The shower was big and the toilet was clean, I swam in the pool until midnight in this very social atmosphere that the Frenchman hosts. Thank you. I look forward to more. Laissez bon temps rouler.

Great location Great room and great location. We walked all over the French Quarter without having to get a taxi/Uber. Our TV did not work very well, but it did not matter because we did not watch any TV while there. The room was clean and it suited our needs. I did not try the continental breakfast because the walk to Cafe Du Monde (and other great restaurants) was very short. I would stay there again.

I would rather stay in a motel 6 The room had a huge air gap at the bottom of the door, the floor tiles were loose and broken in many places, the sink wouldn't drain and was clogged with wrappers and other things and we had ants all over the place. This was not was I was expecting. It was literally the worst room I've ever stayed in. I would have rather stayed in a motel 6

My stay at the frenchman was good overall. First room i stayed in had a broken lock on the door so i had to change rooms. Aside from that i liked it. Clean, good location, friendly staff. I would stay again.

Price to value, this place was a bit lacking with amenities in the deluxe queen rooms...in all honesty we stayed here with a young grandchild less than 2 years and having to place items like suitcases, strollers and diaperbags on the floor.....no frig for food or milk in the room....no elevator to haul baby paraphernalia and and luggage up and down the stairs....it was a bit too much.....the price and the location....no complaints....the area was too loud to accommodate sleeping children....the parties and noise of this area last until 3 or even 3:30 am....this would have been just fine for an adult only vacation though!

French Quarter Gem The hotel is ideal for the location and price. We stay at the Frenchmen, every time we go to New Orleans (which is a lot) and have never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I'd stay here again and again This hotel is conveniently located in the area we like to hang out. The staff is always friendly. It's a cute hotel. The room we chose was a bit small but we are only sleeping there. Our friends got the balcony room which was pretty awesome. I think we will upgrade next time we go.

Good I’ll start with the positives. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location close to French Quarter especially French Market. Also close clubs and restaurants. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Now for the negatives. The bathroom mirror was perfect if you are under five feet tall but I had a perfect view of my chest. No elevator so carrying luggage up narrow stairs might be a problem for some. Even the deluxe room is small and the only chair was like a dining table chair.

Disappointed My wife and I have stayed here before. We like the location, but we’re dissatisfied with the experience. We waited to check in 10-15 minutes in front an empty desk while the phone rang off the hook. The cable in our room didn’t work; a condition the clerk was previously aware of. We were moved from a king to a queen. The room was next to a stairwell that led to a “roof top bar”. So we heard people going up and down the stairs all night. Loud drunk people gathered in the courtyard around 3 a.m. Neither my wife, my child, nor myself were able to get any sleep. The hot tub did not work. And the ice maker wasnt making ice. It’s a nice place in a great location. But the management appears to be a major downfall.

Still the best This was my second time staying here and if anything it's gotten better. Now they have a patio bar, sitting area and live bands make appearances up there. That's pretty amazing. The room was still as comfortable as I remember last time and so was the pool. I really like their pool. It's close to everything on Frenchman Street and a short walk from the action of the Quarter. It was quiet at night. They have an ice machine and their coke machine takes credit cards if you're short on change. They still give you complimentary water. This hotel is as perfect as it gets. Can't wait to stay here again.

Dreamy little place A friend and I wanted to stay in or near the French Quarter at a price that wasn’t outrageous. We were referred here by a NOLA native. Our room was a lovely little place with an outdoor hall that had a locked iron gate out to the street. We were able to walk to dinner, music and the French Market. The staff was helpful and changed our room assignment so I could avoid walking up a long staircase. Coffee and muffins in the lobby in the morning. Close by parking was $20.00. Great referral, I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect get away Love this hotel! It's right on a main street but tucked away at the same time. Lovely courtyard and beautiful rooms. Highly recommend. There is parking available for an extra charge. Just park and leave your car there for the duration.

Awesome place! We rented the king balcony room for our anniversary. Well worth the extra cost! Nothing like sitting on the balcony, watching the festivities and listening to the live bands across the street! You will hear them late into the night/morning but it didnt bother us one bit! The staff was great and they make sure you enjoy your stay! The parking is very limited so get there early!

Broken bed I prepaid for 2 beds in my room, 1 bed was totally useless as it was broken! When checking in, they had to go look for the front desk attendant Not sure I want to return to this facility. They did discount my bill, but the bad experience remains...

Location, location, location... Spent 4 nights here for my birthday and loved it! Between the balcony and the rooftop bar, it was tough to leave. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the Frenchmen Street experience. Yeah, it can be a little noisy at night, but hey, you are right in the middle of an entertainment district. If you want quiet, you should probably do some research.

Nice place on edge of quarter and right in middle of music venues. Very helpful staff! Right in middle of Frenchmen St music venues and near market. Easy walk to French Quarter and near trolley stop. Nice pool to cool down in. Building is old but getting updated. Security seems solid.

Beware We booked 7 months in advance from Australia. They cancelled 3 days before arrival. Lucky we had email on our phone as there was no courtesy call. We were stuck in a foreign country with no accomodation. Wasted a day trying to clarify what had occurred and organising alternate accomodation instead of enjoying our overseas holiday. Worst customer service we have ever encountered. Thank you very much!!!!

Beware We booked 7 months in advance from Australia. They cancelled 3 days before arrival. Lucky we had email on our phone as there was no courtesy call. We were stuck in a foreign country with no accomodation. Wasted a day trying to clarify what had occurred and organising alternate accomodation instead of enjoying our overseas holiday. Worst customer service we have ever encountered. Thank you very much!!!!
