As advertised and as one would expect on Frenchman, in a building on a street that’s been there for some time but upgraded with some attention that fits the scene just fine! Makes for a fun stay in the neighborhood! We loved it. And love the city forever.

We loved this hotel! We have never stayed in such a unique, original hotel like this. I felt like we were in our own apartment. The way it was decorated just made us smile and feel relaxed. Very clean and organized. The pictures don’t do it justice at all. It is such a cool place! The pool and hot tub were outside in the courtyard and we took advantage of the hot tub after a long day. The check in/out process was so easy and the staff member we met was so sweet. There were 6 of us (ages 19-75) and there was so much room! Two bedrooms along with a large living room with a pullout. TVs in all the rooms, a refrigerator, an abundance of coffees, teas. The location was perfect! The streetcar was very close by and we were able to walk to the French Market. We wish we didn’t have to leave early in the morning so we could have explored more of the late night music scene. Reviews I read mentioned the loud music but it was not terribly loud in my opinion. I actually found it soothing and fell asleep to it. Our only complaint would be that we wish we would have booked more nights here as it was totally worth what we paid for the night!

If you’re here for the music, this is perfect. Initial impression was meh. Til we realized the location. If you’re in NOLA for the music, the place was perfect. 5 minute walk to best bars Bamboulas and Maison Bourbon right across the street. Noise wasn’t that bad. Room was clean and all we needed. People who run it were great… very helpful.

We absolutely love staying at the Frenchmen! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a slight mix up with our room assignment when we arrived, but it was quickly resolved. We love the location - close to the market and several of our favorite spots.

Nice place with lots of character. It is in the French Quarter though so it will be loud on the weekends even in your room until 12 or 1 in the morning. The rooms have white noise machines which help somewhat.

Magical stay with an amazing location and unforgettable, warm-hearted staff. Likes: I absolutely loved the location — it truly feels magical and is perfectly situated right in the heart of everything, with music all around that brings the whole area to life. Being there made me feel completely immersed in the energy and culture of the place. What made the experience even more special was the incredible staff. The ladies working there are true treasures — so kind, warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun. They created such a beautiful and positive atmosphere that made me feel at home from the very beginning. Their energy and care made a lasting impression on me, and I already miss them so much.

We loved our stay at the Frenchmen! So close to so many great jazz bars and restaurants! Room was small but that was expected. Very responsive hosts!

Such a cool room in an old historic building right on Frenchman St, close to the River, and not far from the French Quarter. Really good place to stay!

Extremely charming hotel that’s very aesthetically pleasing in a perfect location. Having the balcony was such a nice touch. Glad I splurged for my birthday :) I would definitely stay here again in the future. Only con was not having a full length mirror lol 😅

Likes: Location. Bed. Hot tub. Water in lobby. (Along with coffee and tea which were also available in the room) Dislikes: The room was small and opened onto the public space so curtains had to remain closed.

Absolutely amazing customer service!!! Kasa's customer service is the best I've ever experienced! We decided to add a day to the beginning of our trip and it was so simple to do. For anything else, they were just a text away. The concierge team at the desk was extremely welcoming and very helpful.

Great spot if you want to be right in the center of the action. Easy walking distance to anywhere in the Quarter or Marigny. The staff is very sweet. The hotel is super cute and very clean. The noise level might deter some, but I had zero problem…it’s all part of the NOLA fun.

Spacious rooms and great location. Loved the rooftop patio. Keyless entry but there was always someone available at the front desk to help with whatever questions we had!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was fantastic—perfectly situated away from Bourbon Street while still being close to everything we wanted to explore. Getting around was easy and convenient. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had a great weekend. The employees at the front desk were so incredibly kind and helpful! Erica helped us find exactly what we were wanting to eat one night. The balcony was a huge bonus because we weren’t expecting it, and ended up spending a good portion of our time out there, enjoying the sights and sounds of Frenchmen Street. Some have said that the music was too loud at night. The music wasn’t the problem. It was noisy cars or motorcycles going by, revving the engines, making the entire building shake. That was annoying, but not the hotel’s fault. There should be a noise ordinance on vehicles like a lot of cities have. Other than that, we were incredibly happy. We were able to walk to all but one of the restaurants/attractions we went to. Great place! We will come again!

Must stay! Location and staff are second to none! My stay at The Frenchmen was truly fantastic. My room was charming, and the whole hotel had the boutique feel I was looking for and had the old New Orleans charm I was looking for. Aside from the comfort and charm of the hotel, the real standout was the staff. Erica at the front desk was *so* sweet, friendly, and helpful. I didn't catch her name, but the woman working at the desk in the evening was also great! It was really a pleasure staying there, they made it feel homey, especially as a solo traveler. After long days walking around, it was a delight to come back to people with a welcoming smile and presence. I really can't say enough good things about my stay, I will be back!

Great experience! My room was small but had everything I needed for a quick 2 day stay. Super comfy bed, everything was clean, and the pour over coffee was delicious!

Solo female traveler visiting NOLA was an intimidating endeavor. Erica was super supportive and encouraged me with a variety of ideas to do during my visit. I might not have left my room the whole trip if I hadn't talked to her. On to the hotel - the decor and vibe is fantastic! I stayed in the two bedroom room by the outdoor patio. The patio was setup comfortably with tons of space. Definitely underutilized from my observation. It's not just for smoking. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, amenities are perfect, and the water is hot. All essentials had the boxes checked. My only complaint is the noise. I read other reviews before visiting but had no idea just how bad it is. The bar next door starts their music around 2 pm and it goes until 2 am at what seems like max volume. The furniture vibrated from the sound. Bring earplugs and white noise machines just in case. Safety in the neighborhood was good. I was outside every night alone and had no issues or concerns. There's a fire department directly across the street adding to the feeling of safety. Location of The Frenchmen was truly chef's kiss!

I want to be selfish about this little gem and not share - but it is a little gem of a spot. This is not a traditional hotel, it's a very old non-ADA compliant building with smaller historic rooms - many of which are up steep steps. There is 24/7 staff at the front desk but this is not a full service hotel either - all aspects of the booking are handled online. With all of that being understood, this is one of the most unique and quaint properties I've had the pleasure to stay at, all you have to do is step outside of the amazing pool courtyard and you are at the heart of Frenchman street. it's about 1/2 a mile to walk to the heart of the old quarter and the end of the French market is just blocks away. If you like historic buildings and being at the center of it all, this location is a rare find.

A great place for a chilled relax in NOLA Likes: Location, it’s on the esplanade side of the quarter, when the jacuzzi worked it was ideal, it’s a lovely intimate courtyard Dislikes: The jacuzzi only worked on the Thursday and Saturday

Our stay on Frenchmen was great. Each staff member we encountered was extremely courteous & helpful. The location is great, right on Frenchmen & near the French quarter. Super super great time.
