Everything was clean!

Communication with Kasa was difficult. We didn't get all the information on confirmation and access codes and addresses until the day we were travelling and the info was split between a few emails. Parking was confusing and not explained well. The room was very good, but there was no hot water for half of the stay. The coffee maker had not been cleaned and was covered with mold. We needed extra pillows and a blanket but there were none to be had in the concierge closet, which also was out of regular coffee. We've decided that the lack of a front desk really does make a difference and urge Kasa to provide this service.

The room was clean with plenty of amenities. Perfect location near Campus Martius. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Overall the place was nice and in a great location. However, the service was lacking. After going out briefly to grab a coffee (in my pajamas) the door guard somehow engaged and I couldn’t get back in my room. After reaching out the hotel for assistance, I waited in the hall for almost an hour to be told it would take another 1 hour and 40 minutes (3 hour total) for them to have someone assist me. Which leads me to believe that there is no “on site team) as they claim there is.

Booked this Airbnb for a concert that was nearby. Cozy room with a lot of great amenities. Large bathroom, great kitchen and there was even a washer and dryer! Would stay here again

Loved the Kasa Queen 1 Bed. Perfect location. Easy access to property and room. Room was spacious and had everything we needed as far as amenities (washer/dryer, kitchen). Communication with reps were quick and easy.

Overall a pretty good stay! Easy to find in a great location, felt secure, and was surprisingly quiet given the location. (From the 7th floor, at least.) Beds and couch were plenty comfortable. The view was beautiful! I would considering staying again but do feel that for the price, there were things that should have been available that weren't, and some things that we felt needed improvement. Biggest turn off was the fact that the floor was very dirty and clearly hadn't been mopped in a while. (Our feet/socks were filthy.) We even found an old dirty sock in one of the bedrooms which gave me concern about how much they cleaned at all. Some small amenities would have helped as well: extra blankets/pillows, dish soap (left a sponge but no soap), a spot in the shower to hold your toiletries (had to set on floor), and more than one wet towel hook would have been helpful for a 2 bedroom. Hopefully they'll get the kinks worked out over time! It is a pretty building.

Convenient location near southern part of downtown and the parade for the holidays. Clean and comfortable bed

Our second time staying here with our family. Really nice place , great location and good communication for checkin, etc. Hopefully we will be back next year!😊

Great place to stay and within walking distance to everything.

Storage for luggage is a shared closet with other guests and not secure. Key code expires at check out time so getting in to get it later in day required calls.

Pros: - location is ideal, ~20 min walk to all sporting arenas, lot's of amenities nearby - price is good when split - parking is very close by Cons: - bed's are very firm. I sleep on a firm mattress but this was making me wake up with a sore side every few hours - the pullout is NOT USABLE. I split the room with 6 people in total so everyone took a turn on the pullout couch, it is all bent and tilts to the front. everyone slept terrible on it. it also sags a ton in the middle - we ran out of toilet paper, it took nearly a full day to get more from the staff - the floors were not that clean and most of the unit needs a repaint. lots of nicks on the walls, baseboards, etc. there was a big tape/glue mark on the floors of one of the bedrooms - shower takes 10 mins to get warm - the 7/11 next door can have some riff raff especially later at night Other notes: - it is noisy outside and not very dark at night but earplugs and an eye-mask (which they provided both) can solve this - the staff over text are very helpful, they respond very quickly

Overall, great experience and wonderful location. We went during Christmas time and it’s so close to the Holiday Markets and Woodward Ave. However, the pull out couch that sleeps 2 was horrendous, thin uneven mattress, so squeaky and loud, blanket was too small (no extras) that even my small kids had a hard time sleeping on it. It definitely would not accommodate 2 grown adults.

The manager and staff is very hospitable. The area is also accessible to all.

Great place to hang our hat for our stay...met all of our expectations! Likes: Location...was close for all the activities we were there for. Parked the car and walked everywhere for the weekend. Clean, Everything listed in description was as noted. Plenty of room for the four of us. Great Kitchen with all imentities needed if you wanted to take your own food to cook. Dislikes: Tv....It was in "Store" mode so it was basically useless. The light switches (which are a bunch) could be labeled. Not a huge deal just kept flipping them till we figured out what went where. Tv was disappointing...other then that everything else was great!

The place was perfect for our 2 night stay. Walking distance to everything in Detroit. The team was very responsible with our questions. We will be back!

I will look to lodge here again in the future. Perfect!!!

Had to leave because no one was there to assist us! I read the reviews and saw there was staff on site but no one was there! I understand the virtual hotel concept but there isn’t a manager?? Hotel staff?? Security?? It’s just an empty building for anyone to just do whatever! Never again!

We LOVED staying here. Very clean, convenient, decent priced and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back! p.s had a noise maker in room which was a bonus!

Greatttttt location! 7/11 on the corner was a little sketchy at night but I would definitely stay here again.

Pros : Great location walking distance to restaurants. Cons : Lack of maintenance and management. We are 3 adults and staying for 5 nights. They are only providing 2 bath towels and some hand towels. We asked them to bring in more towels and they replied u can get all the stuff from storage which located on 3,6,9 and 10th floor. We went all floors but nothing. We went to check 3 times on different days and nothing was in stock. Same as toilet paper. They were only providing 1 single roll. Although they have washers n dryer but no washing detergent is provided.

There was literally no one in the entire building from the host's side. If you run into any problem, you are on your own. No coffee at the coffee corner. No one at the check ni desk. Not a pleasant experience. I wouldn't recommend at all.

Amazing! The room is very clean and spacious! It was fully equipped so we had everything we needed. Lovely location and an amazing view! The team was communicating with us on text and were very responsive no matter how late we texted them. We had a wonderful stay

Had a long stay at this location (Oct-Nov) with the hubby so I will give the pros and cons of this place for anyone that’s moving to Michigan or just visiting like us! (: Pros: 1. FREE COFFEE! Loved the coffee station when I FIRST got there. Everything was so neat and orderly! The girl at the front desk had a candle that I wish I knew the name of! It smelled so good when you entered the lobby. 2. The rooms were very nice! Needed updating though.. the rooms had a great view of the city. We had guests on some days so our room had a pullout sofa. Not the most comfortable but it did its job. 3. 7/11 was right downstairs! I loved that fact because who doesn’t want snacks after a long night of partying? 4. The staff was nicer than any hotel I’ve been to. The girl with with glasses was so nice! She helped us with everything honestly. Food recommendations, extra towels, (venting buddy on some days ahaha) . My first two weeks there she was so helpful. Amy the housekeeper and her staff was nice as well! But she told me they fired the girl at the front desk! I was heartbroken 😢 5. It’s at the heart of downtown Detroit! There’s everything around this location, so much to do! The shops, the restaurants, the attractions! Cons: 1. Aggressive homeless men. I had a few encounters with homeless men blocking the door and crowding the area where I put in my code to enter Kasa . During this last weekend a man tried to enter in the building with me! I couldn’t find any front desk people to inform them. There is a tall Caucasian man who stands behind the desk but I rarely see him. (If you’re reading this please wear a name tag!) 2. My last week was rough. The heat was fluctuating. I couldn’t get my complimentary coffee because it was old and tasted like soap on some days. Had to go to 7/11 for coffee 3. The hallways were filthy some days. Trash would pile up and they never vacuumed! I had to purchase my own cleaning products for my stay. 4. A drunk woman was yelling in the hallways for like 3 hours straight and the elevators were always smelling like someone spilled a case of beers on the floor. I can handle the marijuana smells but after a while it became annoying. 5. Parking is terrible as far as where it’s located and how much it costs. We spent $600 on parking and someone still side swiped my car door! Honestly Kasa was a 6/10. Loved the concept of a “virtual” hotel. Loved the front desk staff when she was there and housekeeping, loved the restaurants, loved the atmosphere of downtown Detroit. Would I stay here again? Probably not. For the price I paid, I will continue to stay at The Roost whenever I visit!

Rooms were very nice. Excellent central location in Detroit, close to Hart Plaza, Campus Martius, Woodward shopping, etc. You won’t find a room this nice at their price point. Very satisfied and Kasa is my new place to stay while in town. Thank you, Kasa!

Great location, good value, solid amenities. The shower is cramped, with kinda weak water pressure, and the window/shade/curtain situation makes it impossible to actually block out all the light. The lack of any actual employees at the front desk makes for some tricky situations. For instance, the "virtual front desk" tells you that you can leave your luggage in a storage closet (accessible to other guests on your floor, by the way...), but then your access code to that closet and the building itself expire as soon as you check out. So I had left my bag in there after checkout to explore the city before my flight but was then unable to access the bag I had left in the "24 hour" storage locker. Luckily,, another guest let me in, but that seems like a bad system.

Kitchen easy to use, had all supplies and dishes.

Recommend Stay 10/10!

This was a very clean, comfortable stay. Good amenities, great locations, quiet, spacious. I most definitely book again!
