Very close to music venues and bars.

The property is not as nice as the pictures and the main areas weren’t clean. The room didn’t have enough toilet tissue or towels, the security person isn’t there the whole time to ask for additional items.

Would definitely stay here again! Very clean and had everything I needed and more. Great location for the price as well.

The hotel entry and room entry was very easy to use. The bolt lock on the door wasn’t heavy or strong enough to keep the door from opening. The room was very dusty behind the bed and on and near the nightstand. The kitchen had a refrigerator, stove and microwave. The bathroom does not have a fan and very few towels but the water was very hot!! The room is facing a very intersections with a 7-11. It was busy all night with traffic and loud music. It settles down around 4 am. Ample trash and recycling. Our bed spread had a stain on it and so did the bottom sheet. It was very convenient location for spending time downtown walking.

The property was convenient for the are the acess of property was smooth, the white sheets on bed was stained and there was a coffee mug in cabinet with a lot of coffee stains. Need new matress for let out bed.

No complaints. Was a little difficult to find at first, and it's in an unusual location. Seems to be an old office or apartment building that was converted into a hotel. No frills, and it's a great deal for what you get. Perfect for a few days stay while attending a conference a few blocks away at Hudsons

Unfortunately the morning after my overnight stay I pulled down the blankets to check to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anything on my way out and the previous guests socks where on the side of the bed I didn’t sleep on 😩

the location is a bit questionable for a family. lots of police on this corner. there was also no bedding supplied for the pull out couch.

Would not recommend booking here. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 PM, which is already quite late for a hotel stay. I received access information at 3:50 PM, but then at 4:16 PM, 16 minutes after check-in time, I received another message telling me to disregard the check-in details because the room would not be ready until 5:30 PM. I had no advance notice, and this created a major inconvenience as I had an event at 6:00 PM and needed access to the room to get ready. When I finally got into the room later that evening, it was in unacceptable condition. There were men’s boxers left in the bathroom, missing pillows, dirty floors, and food left in the fridge. It was very clear the room had not been properly cleaned, if cleaned at all. When I called about the issue, I was told they were fully booked and could not move me to another room. After hours of back and forth, I was eventually moved, but the only compensation offered was a $50 gift card. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. Between the delayed check-in with no notice, the unsanitary room, and the lack of meaningful resolution, I would not stay here again or recommend it to other travellers.

Not clean, dirty floor, used tissue paper on the pull out couch, did not have any extra bedding available for the pull out couch which was a key reason for choosing this room. We reached out immediately and here we are over 3 hours later and they still haven’t brought any additional sheets to us. We had to separate out the sheets on the beds in order to make enough for my kids to use. Also super loud and in a very shady location. Would not recommend at all.

Not having a front desk would be fine if you have clean sheets and bedding that didn’t have holes in it. Feels like a landlord special.

Great stay!

Convenient location but noisy.

It was so easy to access my room. Easy instructions for entering the property. There was a security man in the lobby. He helped me fi d the parking garage, right across the street. Rooms are not only clean but spacious. My event was just a few blocks away. I look forward to my next visit.

Pros: Spacious apartment-style units with full kitchen and in-unit laundry. Kitchen was well-stocked (cookware, foil, cutting board, etc.) and the unit also came with laundry detergent, hand soap, paper towels, and surface wipes. Clean, odor-free, comfortable bed. Good lighting with warm ambient options. Spacious closet. Nice big windows with a pleasant view. WiFi was solid. Neighbors audible through walls/floor occasionally but not frequently. Convenient to not have to carry a key. Cons: AC was broken the entire stay. Fridge shorted out and ruined food. Garbage disposal broken. Shower took ~5 minutes to warm up. Door keypad died mid-stay (temporarily), support required a 6+ minute call with no guarantee of resolution, and this appears to be a known recurring issue. No housekeeping or towel exchange for a week-long stay. Supply closets were empty and only one roll of toilet paper was provided. No on-site staff overnight; fire alarm went off at 2am with no one managing it, and there were repeated incidents of yelling/fighting in the halls. Street noise is significant (loud music, shouting late at night; construction early morning), windows help somewhat but opening them for airflow was a bit much. Doors rattle in frames. Overall: Adequate, but leans expensive for what it is. The space and kitchen are the main draw. Multiple maintenance failures and minimal support infrastructure are hard to overlook at this price.

Room and location were excellent. Walkable to most things you would want to see. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The location was great and within walking distance of downtown, which was very convenient. However, when I arrived, the pullout bed had no sheets, blanket, or pillows, and there were crumbs and hair on it. I requested sheets, pillowcases, pillows, and bedding for the couch bed, but never received them during my stay. Unfortunately, this negatively impacted an otherwise good experience.

What a huge find!! All the hotels were crazy expensive and my husband found this through Hotels.com. Less than $200/night, full kitchen, centrally located, steps from the riverfront path, free eye mask, ear plugs and water and coffee/tea in room and downstairs. Looks newly renovated and was extremely clean. Check-in was online via a code which opens the outside door and works for the room. This is not a hotel however there is a guard at the door. This will be our go-to when visiting our daughter in the beautiful city of Detroit!

We had a horrible experience at this property and would not stay here. We left after a party was taking place on our floor. Other guests were loud and disrespectful the entire night forcing us to leave this property in the middle of the night to find other accommodation. Fights, music, and smoke alarms going off throughout the night. Drug use and homeless are at the main entry door.

I rarely ever leave reviews, but felt like I had a duty to warn people about Kasa. If you are planning a room block or need multiple rooms for an event DO NOT book this place. I had a room block for my wedding this past weekend and Kasa did nothing but make it extremely frustrating. Initially it was easy to setup (because they wanted my business obviously), but after the setup their communication was absolutely terrible. I would get multiple emails for different people, I would reply to one and then get another email from someone else with the same question. It’s blatantly obvious that they do not communicate within their own company. I would send an email it would usually take them a week or longer to reply to it. Multiple guests would call and even have a significant delay in booking rooms. Three weeks before my wedding they lost the contract with the parking garage, so everyone’s parking got cancelled. They were of absolute no assistance when it came to questions about where to park, when directly asked where can we park that there is in/out parking, we were given a garage where it says directly on their booking site that they are not an in/out garage. Half of the time when I would send an email they would only reply to half of the questions. The rooms were okay. Clean enough and in a good location. The air conditioning was terrible and would turn off in the middle of the night. I woke up every. Single. Night. Sweating because the AC would not stay on. Multiple of my guests were running out of toilet paper, they all contacted Kasa with no assistance from them. We had to go to the 7/11 to buy our own. Very sad for a hotel not to provide basic necessities. This place added very much unneeded stress to my wedding. The only good thing that happened was the front desk guy left flowers in my room after finding out he lived in my parents home town. The kicker is I asked for a late checkout and they charged me $200! This place is a joke. Please do not book here. I wish I could get a refund for part of my stay, but I know that they would simply not respond!

Excellent location with average facilities. Likes: The location is excellent, and there is a 7-Eleven right in the same building, which is very convenient. The staff at the reception was very helpful in accommodating our requests, giving us guidance, and providing the extra blanket and sheet we asked for. Dislikes: Inside the apartment, the floor was not very clean, and the washing machine was too big and very noisy. Also, the property sends too much communication after booking—there were too many follow-ups for information and check-in instructions. There were some weird people in the area outside the building, and some were selling weeds.

The air in the room was not working properly which was very unpleasant to sleep through. The batteries in both remote controls were dead.

There were holes in the sheets and towels. As the sheet slid off the comforter the next morning, it revealed visible multicolor stains (yellow and green). There was an odor from the garbage disposal. The elevator carpet was gross. The room had a natural fiber (seagrass type) rug, which I would appreciate, but it's not sanitary--you can't clean that except by vacuuming and it looked a little grimy, and it was leaving shards of fibers all embedded in my socks. The grout in the bathroom was dirty by the toilet and light gray elsewhere, so that's never seen bleach. The pictures looked good online I should've stayed at a name-brand lower-tier hotel for around the same price. I mistakenly thought this was a small boutique hotel but it was more of a budget hotel. But what really stuck with me was my towel--it had multiple holes and areas that were completely worn through in weird shapes. Who saw that and folded it and thought that it was ok for a customer to use. There was a glass in the cabinet that was clearly used but not washed. So wash everything first before using--with the hand soap at the sink, because there's no dish soap, only dishwasher pods. There was a large police presence and metal detectors on the sidewalk out front and signs saying "no guns." But I think that's because it's a bar/nighclub area. One more thing: the blackout curtains didn't quite cover each window so morning light would come in and they were wrinkled (maybe they were new and not ironed).

Location and check-in and check-out was great and smooth. The floor in the eating area was not clean as it could be. The rug in the middle did not enhance the area.

Location is easy walking distance to many locations or hop on the free People Mover two blocks away, or the free trolley or hop on a $2 bus. Perfect for those without a car. Full kichen and stackable laundry in the room. Sleeper sofa in LR and bedroom is a seperate room for privacy. I appreciated all the convenience and comfort.

Had 0 problems and had a wonderful stay for the night Showed up by myself, the check in was really easy and smooth. The room was well prepared for my stay in the city.

Awesome place to stay, walkable toward riverfront and Huntington place

I stayed here for a conference at the Huntington Center, it’s about a 10 minute walk away. Parking is close the building, you can see it from the lobby. Check in was a breeze, received an email about 10 minutes before check in with room number and key code. Got the luggage to the room, and it’s quite nice, w on the 4 floor, so the noise wasn’t an issue. Yes, there were loud cars and bike rubbing up and down the street, but it died down by 10pm. City Market is a block away, and we did our shopping there for the meals we cooked in. We definitely are going to consider Kasa for future downtown stays.

If you are going to stay here and they advertise a king bed it's a lie. You will get a twin size bed so I would say be careful.

The room looked just like the listing, it was very nice and spacious and great location for everything I wanted to do. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great. There is no onsite parking provided with the reservation, but there’s a parking lot that’s literally a 60 second walk from the property where I parked my car at, it was $40 a night which is higher then I wanted to pay but I was only there for one night. There’s other parking lots/garages available that you can choose from but I just picked the quickest/convenient option I was rushing lol. The only cons with the room was some cleanliness/maintenance issues; there was hair in the shower and the kitchen sink was dirty and had some food bits in it (the garbage disposal doesn’t turn on at all so it causes the water to kind of sit there and go down slowly, which explains the dirty sink upon my arrival) in the property’s defense I did book the room at around noon the same day as my check in so they probably had to arrange last minute housekeeping, my check in time was pushed back to 5:15pm so that could be why. I would definitely stay here again in the future, I don’t mind the city noises and it was actually really nice to people watch and listen to the musicians from my beautiful view! The price was amazing

Beautiful location with a great view! We did start with a unit that didn’t have working AC but they switched our unit for us and it was much better. Be aware this is downtown so expect noise when you try to sleep. Not the host’s fault at all and we could fall asleep anyway, just something to note. Great food locations nearby or an easy walk. Loved Hart plaza nearby and that 7-eleven is just downstairs if you need something quick. City Market is a short walk for groceries too! I would recommend this location and if you have problems, text them and they do respond and find a solution.

Location is excellent and we were grateful to find a two bedroom apartment downtown. The team was responsive and helpful, but this apartment is really beat up. Towels and sheets are stained, the floor is disgusting (turned feet & socks black), and the walls were trashed in both rooms from people slamming luggage against the walls. The apartment is just generally not well cared for. The air-conditioning system is on some sort of a motion activated system, so we would come back to the apartment and it would be hot and muggy, and it got hot overnight as well. The most disappointing part of our stay was that the window treatments were really just privacy shades and did nothing to block out the light at all. They did provide facemasks, but those were no good for our little kids so we just didn’t sleep all weekend. We love the location, but I think we will be looking elsewhere for our next stay, unfortunately.

Great stay! My husband and I genuinely enjoyed the stay and the location was perfect for walking which is exactly what we were looking for! Had everything we needed for the weekend!

The room was cute, with a nice view of the downtown. However, the bathroom was disgusting. Not only was there hair in the sink, but the toilet had pee on the lid and seat! Absolutely gross, not sure if they clean after every guest.

It was super easy to check in. The room was spacious and clean. Will be booking again in the future!
