This Kasa unit was in a great location of downtown Austin. Easy walk to the paths around Lady Bird Lake, the Capitol, bars, hotels, music venues, etc.
The space easily accommodated our party of 4 adults. The unit was clean, however, the floor was not...anything used on the floor got very dirty so be sure to keep your shoes on or use slippers.
The place was much more spartan than expected. No rugs (which is probably okay when weather is warmer; it was cold during our visit), and, very limited kitchen amenities (it would be very hard to make a meal from scratch but reheating or takeout foods were fine).
The key reasons for a lower score were:
1) the maintenance of the unit (lightbulbs that need replacing, electrical circuits that blow when using a hairdryer, window shade not working, etc.) and,
2) coordination with the "virtual front desk". They were always pleasant to deal with, however, it didn't seem like they had ever visited the space and were unable to answer questions about access, etc. that an onsite person could answer with their eyes closed. Pictures of how to access the unit were very helpful, however the directions ended up being more complicated than necessary.
I wouldn't choose to stay here again, however, it could be a great spot for someone wanting a bigger space that is close to all the attractions of downtown Austin.
