If you stay here during the week, you're probably going to be just fine. Under no circumstance whatsoever should anyone ever stay here on the weekend. I forbid you. You've been warned. Read the other 1-star reviews on this place to see that it's a common pattern, not just my experience (I sure wish I had done that). I encourage you to get a sleeping bag and sleep on the street instead if you have to, just make sure it is somewhere far from this hotel. The only reason it has any good reviews at all is that people stay here on weekdays and have no idea of the trance disco hell it turns into come Friday night. There is an obnoxious (not nearly a strong enough word) techno dance club off the lobby. The music is so loud and the bass is SO heavy that your room and everything in it, including you, literally vibrates, and it doesn't stop until 2am or later. It begins in the middle of the afternoon as they do sound check and prepare for the night's festivities and the later it gets, the louder it gets. It doesn't matter to move rooms, the entire place is affected. The windows rattle, the drinking glasses rattle on the counter, even the clothes hangers were vibrating. At around 11pm, the fun intensifies as the classy patrons of the nightclub begin congregating en masse on the street outside, smoking weed and being almost - almost - louder than the drone of bass that you will already have been listening to for hours as they shout, curse, and, at times, argue with each other. When you reach out to the friendly but otherwise useless overseas outsourced customer service for the hotel (there are no employees on site), they apologize profusely, refer to it as an "event", as if it's a wedding or something, and offer to throw a few bucks in gift cards at you to try to get you to give up complaining about it. Eventually you do, because it's obvious you're never getting past them and there's only so much, which is to say not much, that they can do.
Do not - DO NOT - underestimate the extent to which this place is, by every definition, totally uninhabitable on weekends. You will not sleep at all, you will get a throbbing headache, you will search online to see if there are support groups of others who have survived it as well so you can connect with people who can truly understand what you've been through. If you do choose to stay here, bring some ecstacy, extra glowsticks, and your Hello Kitty backpack so you can at least go take part in the madness taking place downstairs.
