Sharing my perspective as a disabled traveler with limited mobility who uses a wheelchair. This location has an external wheelchair lift (not elevator) alongside the building. From the street level, the lift as a switch to call it to ground level. When we arrived at 10 p.m. the lift was non-functioning. My husband was unable to get it to move from the upper location (up a flight of steps).
Upon calling customer service, the agent advised that there is a special code to enter the a building. Note: this code is different than the main door. It is not sent to you after you complete registration. The service agent had limited ability to reach someone onsite in the event of an emergency such as the inability to access the wheelchair lift.
Ultimately i was able to use crutches, and with help from my husband, get into the building, which has a flight of steps to enter.
If you are unable to walk at all, and the lift is not functioning, you will not be able to enter the building.
This is something that should be checked and maintained on a consistent basis, in particular when guests have requested accessible rooms. Furthermore, there should be a process in place by which customer service can assist or immediately rebook a guest if the guest is unable to enter the building.
Inside the room - very spacious. Had entering the building not been such an incredible production, I would give this hotel a 7/10.
Update: Next day there was a bag of chocolate pretzels in front of our door with an apology note. We received no update (phone or email) regarding our request for wheelchair fit maintenance nor was the lift fixed.
